Hello

I am a bodybuilder, fitness enthusiast that has been training for over 10 years over the last two i have eaten clean day in day out without ever cheating on my diet i do not consider myself to be on a diet as such it is just my lifestyle choice to eat and live this way.I have made the best gains of my life through this and have managed to bounce back and forth from around 8-12% bf on cutting bulking cycles i find that i gain best on about a 16 week bulk followed by a cut of 4-6 weeks with cals slightly under maintainace (200-300)in order to clean it up and then bulk again.

The problem i am having now is that i am eating clean by day and training hard and heavy cycle rep ranges 6 weeks between 6-8 then go to 12-15,sometimes even 20-30 if needed i do hiit cardio as a cycle instructor 5-7 times a week for 45-60min periods so i am training well but i am fucking binging every night after dinner,i have tried everything i know to stop it drinking more, changing meal frequency and spacings but i cant stop for instance last night i had 250gram cottage cheese with tin of peaches then a huge bowl of oatmeal with fruit then just basically ate an entire jar of peanut butter ,chocolates ,biscuits i call it the battle fury when this shit comes on i cant stop it until i a physically sore and sick i have eaten like this until i literally cannot move and my stomach hurts and am fucked off because i have massive will power and have been a professional athlete and high end performer all my life.Any help, ideas appreciated....

Hey mate your not alone here.. im similar and can literally clean up massive amounts of junk food when given the chance, nothing bums you out more especially when you train so hard and know what you eat is stopping you seeing the results. What I find works for me is keep it tight during the week, real tight.. then have a day off on the weekend, eat what you want, it kills the cravings..

Hope that helps... :P

Yes give in to the cravings and binge big time. Eat everything and anything you can get your hands on over a 6 hour period. Eat so much you feel sick. Then go back to your super clean diet.

Trust me it will kill your cravings and you won't even want to look at a biscuit for a week, it will kick your metabolism into overdrive and seeing as you are already lean your body can only hold onto so much food, the rest will go straight thru you.

If you have gotten into a patterm of doing this constantly then it can be more of a psychological issue and maybe depression/eating disorder related (please note an eating disorder does not always mean you want to be skinny).

There are so many forms of eating disorders that are not specified. People who are super strict on themselves with dieting and training (most bodybuilders) are predisposed to this sort of mental issue as they have such high expectations of themselves and have that perfectionist trait. So for many its an all or nothing thing. If you are feeling out of control with your binging and feel guilty afterwards than your not going to fix it by drinking more water or changing your meal times becuase its not a hunger issue its a psychological issue. Because your eating until you can barely even move is proof of this.

Talk to your doctor because the sooner you address whatever it is that is making you sabotage your efforts the better. The longer you are in these kind of out of control routines the harder they are to break.

TRUST ME i have been there with every kind of disorder you can imagine.

When I was a ballerina I was so stirct on everything diet, exercise everything!! And i felt so empowered because I knew I had more willpower than everyone else. When i had to quit coz of injuries I went the opposite and binged and did no exercise for a whole year. I would kick myself and tell myself I was weak

But yeh um PM me if you want but I def think you shoudl see your doctor. A year of bad habits takes more counselling to fix then a few weeks or months of it.
