but you have to remember any drug can be harmful

P, cocaine, and heroin can be harmful. So can alcohol, coffee, McDonalds, pies, and V if the amount taken exceeds any recommended dose.

I know it's been said before but alcohol can do a lot more damage and cost the taxpayer / medical system a lot more than someone who inj's test. Your body naturally produces test so all an AAS user is doing is upping the amount.

But like anything, there's always those that want to go too far and will push the envelope and exceed the recommended dose.

Oh real? ive had bloods done before but I didnt know what they took from it.

Cons for sure once you get up there in the dosages, but If I were a top level athlete competing for an income, would those cons be worth it? I think many would still consider that nothing compared to what the pros of performing at that level would bring.

Cause and effect. Training in general is rough on the system.

I totally agree booze, cigs and cheap food are worse

I get what your saying oldfella im not saying test is bad dont do it just that you have to understand that there is use then there is abuse just like with anything i.e a couple drinks of alcohol a week is fine but having a box a night will f*ck your liver pretty quick

everyone has the right to do what they want its their body but if they wanna enjoy life and be around for a while dont get carried away because once you start it can be difficult to stop

Excellent

I dont think dying young is worth any amount of income but I do understand that an athlete will do whatever it takes to be the best and earn the big bucks but in nz if you aint playing rugby or league you aint making money in sport there are only a few other nz athletes that solely make a living from their sport

but yea like you said it will come down to use vs abuse and what your body can handle its a decision only you can make its your body your life and your family should support you or atleast get a real understanding not some BS the media has said

It would be interesting to compare the difference in doses between what the average user on this site injects per week (I recon between 500/1000mg what we would recon was safe'ish)??

With the apparent huge doses those at the upper end of Pro Body Building are taking....

But as this seems to be a topic very few will even admit to, least coment on dosages, its difficult for the average steroid user to compare.

Which is a shame because I suppose we all wonder what the Monsters out there really do bang in..... (with all the dangers it brings)...

And whether our doses are relitively insignificant in comparison..??

Oh don't get me wrong, I wont be getting to that level, that was just a hypothetical argument.

I think many of the top guys want to be recognized as the best, and be rewarded with the fame and money. Would be addictive, and I can see why some push the limits.

I've noticed a lot of people mention getting regular blood tests done. Having never gone down the AAS path yet, are there specific tests that one would request, or do you just tell your GP that you want "blood tests"? Forgive my ignorance, I'm really just beginning my research on this side of the game. No firm plans either way at this stage, but I am more open to the idea than I was when all I was aware of was the negative media propaganda.

Total Testosterone, Free Testosterone or FAI, SHBG, LH, Oestradiol, maybe Prolactin as Hormones, normally Liver Values & Kidney Renal Master Function, Lipids, PSA if "older lifter", Electrolytes - Sodium, Potassium. the main ones from point of getting baseline values are the Male Hormones.

Ive only been using for 1 year, done a 10 week and an 18 week cycle. Moderate doses, only used test-e and test-cyp.

Pros - Slight strength gains, bigger appetite for non-processed foods, a F U & F Off attitude to bullshi* and idiots, $60 a week vs $100-$150 on alcohol, Feeling of freedom - doing my own thing, recovery and def a better alternative to anti-depressants, and yes some Dr's prescribe for that reason. Horny

Cons - Getting ripped off by muppets who send you PM's, loss of strength and some mass when off steroids can make you feel dependent, acne flare up, all over body Itch, mild gyno, Sex doesnt feel as good when on steroids, even though you have sex drive all the time.
