Well its Friday and I'm kinda bored. Lightscribes been here to entertain us, with lets face it, 5 or so very average troll like posts.

Shall we give him another chance, or is his past behaviour a direct indicator of his future performance :grin:

Of course this poll is irrelevant & the Mods will apply the hand of god & ban himif they see fit - but it'd be worth canvassing you opinions! :nod:

The Mods have definately considered this SFS.

Daniel has been a bit of a pain in the arse for the Mods tho, he certainly hasn't helped his cause, how many accounts have you set up to date Daniel? My count is about 12 or so? (Feel free to correct or add to this figure, might as well let people decide based on reality rather than their perceptions?). He's also had numerous letters to his different ISP Providers - about 4 of those to date isn't it Daniel? (again, amend if I'm incorrect?).

Thats a good point. Even when you were being a fucken douche nozzle you had some quality posts in there. Was a redeeming feature I guess, without that you wouldn't have had a shit show of coming back on here!

At this point, I feel I've finally learnt how not to cross the line between cracking a joke, an been a troll. I would appreciate a final chance. SM could also learn a thing or 2 from my guru like Bodybuilding knowledge. :)

The reason Tom has been allowed to carry on is he used his chance wisely, and has repaid us by making a vaulable contribution to the forum :nod:

In your case, Lightscribe is your 14th account, and the past 12 (not including boostinggtir) have been used for nothing but trolling. Why should we believe that your latest attempt will be any different? Because you say so?

We'll see how this goes for now, but as SFS has suggested, you will be on a very short leash. I suggest you try to make the most of this opportunity...

Then understand if we come to an agreement, you have no flex Daniel - you also need to understand Nate has put himself out there to give you this opportunity. He is a respected contributor to the forum and a very balanced moderator - don't embaress him by using this as an opportunity to be a complete "douche nozzle".

they are two very different comparisons - not a double standard at all.

We'll discuss over the weekend as a team. In the meantime we encourage peoples to post their thoughts or concerns.

Well Daniel, the mods have spent a few days discussing your case. Here’s what we’ve decided...

First of all, we want to explain the criteria we’ve used when deciding whether to allow Tom and Daniel back. We considered the same factors for both of them:

- The likelihood of them being disruptive again

- How much of a positive contribution they can make

- Public reaction to their return

- Fairness to other people we’ve banned, and haven’t allowed back

When we allowed Tom back, it was because we felt that he had a history of enough good posts that it was worth taking a chance and letting him back.

With Daniel, there hasn’t been that history. In fact, quite the opposite – even with 14 different user accounts, there’s hardly a single useful post in any of them.

When we first started discussing this, the mods strongly felt Daniel was simply more work than he was worth. (And looking at the poll, most members feel the same way.) However, in the last few days, he’s made a few good posts that impressed us. So we’re giving him a suspended sentence.

Daniel, we won’t ban you – yet. As long as you continue to make useful posts and help other members, you can stay. But if you get involved in any kind of trouble (whether you start the trouble or not) then you’re gone for good. One strike and you’re out, no matter how minor the strike might be.

We’ve been surprised and impressed that Tom’s been making the most of his final chance. Hopefully you can do the same.

I agree Tom has a good attitude has a lot of knowledge for a young guy and is keen to learn he has come far since I wanted to rip the parnell panthers head off his shoulders :pfft: shot tom keep up the training bro 2011 gonna be a big year for the lads :nod:

On the daniel front I give him 2 weeks :roll:
