Big Kiwi in trouble...

Didn't he plead guilty to all the charges?

Yeah - so the judge gave him a 3 year reduction off the original 13.5 year sentence.

I heard somewhere that he might be able to get out after 3 years. I'll be interested to see the changes in his physique after that time.

According to his partner (posting on the BK forum), he "has gone back to very basic methods of training-using a towel & finding the heaviest guy for weight. Still training those different muscle groups once a day + cardio."

What does he do with the towel and the heaviest guy?? Sorry if this is a dumb question.. :shifty:

It's funny how people blame the reporter for being misinformed but the guy still got a 10 year sentence in jail for importing drugs into the country.

No excuse really.

I'd be curious to hear his side of the story.

I think that now he is out of remand and into mainstream he will have access to the gym and even the interent from time to time, depending on what level of security prison he goes into.

He will have to serve a minimum of a 1/3 rd of his sentance before becoming eligable to apply for parole. I totaly agree that it seems uinfair that murderers can end up with more time than he got, however he was importing and selling drugs for profit and deserves to be punished accordingly, he was doing so while on a suspended sentance for another importing offence, the courts dont like that very much. I hope things go well for him he is still able to train.

I work at a prison he will have all the medical treatment that he needs and will be fed 3meals aday. There no gyms as such only cardio stations. What you guys see on tv is American Bullshit programes. As for murders their lags are alot longer than his

I don't see anything morally wrong with BigKiwi's actions. If he wants to sell drugs and informed adults want to buy them, that's really no-one else's business and people are under no obligation to patronize the lucrative rackets of better-connected drug dealers (pharmaceutical producers, brewers, doctors etc.). Having said that, he is not really a victim as he knew the risks he was taking for the supernormal profits he stood to make. You pay your money and you take your chances.

As for murders their lags are alot longer than his

They are if their crime is called murder. However, a lot of murderers are convicted of lesser crimes and get a lot less.

At the end of the day your right but to feed a habit you need money and lots of it. It starts of as small burgularies then gets bigger and then some one has to pick up the pieces. Just wondering how many people have seen some one come down from hard drugs not nice

owhats the towel story.. i dont get it oh and what is fantasy... whats the effects etc ?

I can't help you with the towel info but as far as fantasy goes I might be able to offer some info.

Fantasy is a street name for GHB - Gamma Hydroxybutyrate and GBL - Gamma-butyrolactone and the less common 1,4-butanediol.

Other names coined by the media are GBH - Grevious bodily harm, liquid e, etc.

GHB occurs naturally in the human brain and supplementing with it helps increase slow wave sleep. GHB temporarily inhibits the release of dopamine in the brain. This may cause increased dopamine storage, and later increased dopamine release when the GHB influence wears off. This effect could account for the middle-of-the-night wakings common with use of higher GHB doses, and the general feelings of increased well-being, alertness and arousal the next day. Its main application in the field of BB is that it may help in the production/release of Growth Hormone (GH), improve sleep quality and sense of well being. Obviously incresing GH will help the body build muscle easier and also recover faster. Whether or not it increases GH all that significantly is another story, however it does have strong "anaesthetising" properties and was actually introduced for use in hospital over 30 years ago.

Since BB's tend to also like to socialise, the added side effect of making most users feel extremely relaxed and intoxicated, without a resultant hangover, caused GHB to become a bit of an overnite hit as a recreational drug. Unfortunately dosing is a fairly haphazard affair, and a serving that may produce great results for one might cause disaster for another.

Because of its strong anaesthetic properties too large a dose results in an almost comatose state, with users unable to be roused for several hours. Externally they appear almost dead, with depressed blood pressure and heart rate, lowered breathing rate (down to 4 breaths per minute) and extreme lack of conciousness which on the surface can appear quite dangerous. If given sufficient time though, the majority of users will awaken feeling really refreshed with absolutely no problems. Unfortunately passing out in a nightclub or on the side of the road often means you end up in hospital in all sorts of trouble and having to answer a million questions.

The real danger of GHB is that it can also result in spontaneous vomiting, which can be quite excessive depending on dosages. If this occurs whilst the user is awake it is normally not a problem, however if the user has passed out, this can result in several problems, the most serious being death, through aspiration of the vomit, and subsequant drowning. Even if the user doesn't die from drowning, serious damage will be done to the lungs due to the pH of the stomach which dissolves the lungs.

The resultant vomiting was one of the main reasons its use was discontinued in hospitals.

GHB is the name given to the "salt" or powdered version of GBL. GBL is a liquid, which is combined with either potassium salts or magnesium salts (I think) to produce GHB. Up until about 5 years ago you actually used to be able to buy kits on the internet so that you could make GHB at home in "your kitchen oven".

GHB was pretty big in the USA as a dietary supplement (i.e. nutritional/health product) around 10 years ago, and even made it into the Sports Supplement Review (3rd edition) by Bill Phillips, as a possible GH releaser and social lubricant. I think that may have been what triggered its popularity in NZ but I won't go into that.

GHB was typically a lot safer that GBL as it is easier to get dosages right plus its toxicity is a lot lower. However with the advent of homebake it could have varying purity levels so a 3g dose could be found to be stronger than a 20g dose.

GBL is very acidic and is/was used as a commercial cleaner, and used in varnish and paint thinners, and even found popularity as a computer keyboard cleaner (or so people used to say to get it through customs).

GBL is a precursor to GHB - meaning it converts to GHB in the body, by its own metabolisation with salts in the body. It's also a lot cheaper because it doesn't need to be "cooked" and because of its potency, seemed to gain popularity over GHB.

Its use became fairly widespread recreationally, but unfortuantely many users were unaware if its strong sedative properties and used it incorrectly.

To get the best results it was best to combine it with a string stimulant - typically ephedrine or other CNS stimulants.

Major problems occured when used without stimulants as the user more than likely ended up a shuffling, dribbling mess, and both GHB and GBL combine badly with alcohol which causes problems when the user has a few drinks to pass the time.

The real detracting force against it was that it started getting into the wrong hands and became popular as a date rape drug. This earned it the dubious name of GBH - grevious bodily harm. It has quite a fast mode of action, could be added to drinks easily (although the liquid tastes foul and has a very strong odour) and victims would typically be completely intoxicated within a short space of time and unable to remember much of what eventually happens to them.

It was banned in the USA in 1990 which took several years to implement, and around 4 or 5 years ago it was banned and reclassified in NZ as a scheduled drug to try and put a curb to its use in date rape (it has been used on both male and female victims) and prevent any more deaths (I believe one or two people died from its use). This doesn't seem to have stopped or lessened its popularity, nor has it detracted from the lucrative money making opportunities that attracts many people to the world of drug trafficking.

I think that pretty much covers it. I'm not going to pass judgement on BigKiwi, all I can say is that there are wiser and more honest ways to make a living.

In Regards to the towel question.taken from his website

Hey guys bet you all wanting to here how BK is getting on. HAve had a bit off comunication with him and have seen him a few times in the last two weeks. Bk looking good, still huge as ever and determined to keep his size on.

He has told me a list of exercises that he has been doing to keep his body in tact as he hasnt been able to get him self into a gym yet.

For back he's been doing chinups against a wall, following it up with backpulls with a towel and two guys holding onto the other end of it.

Shoulder pressing the largest guys he can find with another guy pressing down on that guy to create more weight.

For legs hes been doing squats, having the largest guys he can find to press down on his shoulders. Having one guy press down on his shoulders another guy is holding the first guys shoulders down.

Havnt yet heard what he does for arms but will let you all know what the secret is as soon as i find out.

So as you can all see even from within the concrete walls BIG KIWI is keeping it big and his love for the sport has not vanquished. :)

I went into kaitoki prison near wanganui a few years ago for a look around, (invited there!!) and the inmates were doing work on cars and furniture making with access to all sorts of tools, infact you could buy stuff they had made there. didnot see any gym equipment bit it looked like the inmates were well enternained.

In all honesty punishment should be punishment and being deprived of a gym would be for big kiwi. interesting to see how he looks whenhe is finished his sentance.
