I'm surprised how good everything went today considering how crap I felt going into it :? Wasn't actually planning on doing a Skills test because I competed at CBC K-OS comp 2 weeks ago - but just couldn't stay away :grin: I didn't attempt to Squat, Bench & DL on the same day though so DL's gunna have to wait until Tuesday :wink: I've definitely got opener idea's for NI's now :nod:

Squat:

That's all I got to do last night :? My shoulder injury is starting to reappear & I can feel a few aches n pains in my back - not to mention I have a poor little boy who's got a ear infection & is teething, so sleep has been non existent lately.. But squat's still felt good & bench was uh, will try again tomorrow :nod:

Squat

1st Attempt: 135kg - 3 whites (NZ Sub Jnr 63kg Record)

2nd Attempt: 142.5kg - 3 whites (NZ Sub Jnr 63kg Record)

3rd Attempt: 147.5kg - 3 whites (PB) (NZ Sub Jnr 63kg Record)

The start of the squat round was a very interesting one.. My first 135 came off my back while I was setting up & because I didn't get the start command they gave me another try at it.. Usually something like that would have put me off for the day but it made me alot more cautious of my setting up etc.

Bench

1st Attempt: 67.5kg - 3 whites (NZ Sub Jnr 63kg Record)

2nd Attempt: 72.5kg - 3 whites (NZ Sub Jnr 63kg Record)

3rd Attempt: 77.5kg - 3 whites (PB) (NZ Sub Jnr 63kg Record)

Bench was so much better than it felt in training 2 weeks ago.. I was abit worried going into it cause I've had a shoulder injury, but everything went extremely well!

Deadlift

1st Attempt: 132.5kg - 3 whites (NZ Sub Jnr 63kg Record)

2nd Attempt: 142.5kg - 3 whites (NZ Sub Jnr 63kg Record)

3rd Attempt: 145kg - 3 whites (PB) (NZ Sub Jnr 63kg Record)

I played it very safe on deadlift, kept my opener light & didn't push myself seeing as last comp I missed my 3rd attempt because I was so worn out from pushing myself on squat/bench.

Overall it was an amazing day! 4 NZ records, 27 white lights, 2nd Overall Female, Overall Female Sub-Jnr & 1st 63kg female. Auckland also won the Woman's Team trophy :grin: So much awesome lifting from the other CBC girls: Mum (Bar-belle/Rachel), Rechelle Unsworth, Rachelle Turrell (Viper) & Tina Herland (Wahu Girl).. So many PB's, well done girls :) Big thank you to my support man/boyfriend/wrapper/card runner Harley :grin: & to my amazing coach: Dad/Damo/Steak :lol:

No doubt about it Emma a few people sat up and took notice on Saturday :nod: you have a real future ahead of you in powerlifting. Well done...many proud mum moments :clap: . And talk about smashing records left, right and centre. Amazing. Then Harley and John doing the Haka for you at prizegiving... well that just topped it off really :grin:

South Auckland Novice Results -14.07

Squat:

1st Attempt: 140kg (3 whites)

2nd Attempt: 147.5kg (3 whites)

3rd Attempt: 152.5kg (3 whites)

Last squat was a nice grind.. Tbh didn't think I was gunna get it & then thought that I wouldn't get any whites, but to my amazement I got 3! :D

Bench:

1st Attempt: 72.5kg (3 whites)

2nd Attempt: 77.5kg (3 whites)

3rd Attempt: 80kg (3 whites)

Deadlift:

1st Attempt: 130kg (3 whites)

2nd Attempt: 135kg (3 whites)

3rd Attempt: 142.5kg (3 whites)

Total: 375kg

Wilks: 397.54

Good day overall, 9 for 9 & 27 white lights :grin: .. Quite sore but totally worth it! 5kg gain on my total, 5kg gain on my squat, 2.5kg gain on my bench :) Just missed out on cracking 400wilks.. again! :( But Nationals is in 3 weeks so I'll save it :)
