Christchurch Spoilt

We have been absolutely spoilt here in Christchurch by two excellent shows. Both had brilliant lineups of some fantastic athletes - these were quality shows. The impressive physiques of both sexes showed the dedication and hard work they had put in.

Both shows were well run by some great teams of people. The atmosphere at them carried through nothing of the bollocks that's been happening lately. It just didn't seem to exist as I believe everyone just went out and enjoyed themselves and had a good time.

Congrats to Bigmd and MNZ for a couple of great shows.

I'm sure the Blenheim show went off well too (not one I could make it to). The South Island is the place to be.

Well done guys.

Speaking of NZIFBB show which was held at the CHCH hotle Grand Chancellor. From what I read on Go figure earlyer on today there were only a handfull of athlets who compete at the show and the results are

Tarren Mccall Phys womens,Danile Hibbs Mens Phys,Nuria Novia Fitnees.I feel for the average person who paid money and got to watch four athlets compete which are very poor numbers.

Excuse Me Gym Rat

There were more than 4 competitors and it was a fantastic very upbeat show where the Loyal IFBB competitors were spoilt rotten and I have no Doubt they would be quite offended that you feel Pity for them and their families, friends, supporters who showed up to watch and cheer on the competitors who worked very hard to compete and qualify for NZ Nationals. Every Body that stood on stage was pure quality and the NZIFBB is proud and happy to have supported these competitors by running a show for them. Even if it had been only One competitor, and no spectators we would have supported them and will continue to do so!!! Shame on you for having such a negative attitude. :naughty:

Sure Oldfella, NZIFBB should have the results, As will Gofigure. Yes there were just a handful, 7 in fact, but most certainly NOT disappointing. We were aware of who it was we were doing this show for as they had contacted us directly...Thank you for your interest.

I love the tone of indignation that someone would dare suggest there were only 4 competitors (and the amusing use of capital letters, but let's not be anal :pfft: ), then the following admission that there were a whole THREE more competitors than Gym Rat mentioned.

I'd certainly be disappointed if I'd paid good money to go and see that few competitors. I can get to see top quality bodies for no extra charge any day of the week at my gym with the likes of Supry and Big Kiwi training there.

I would also be disappointed as well If I only got to see a seven athletes compete at a show plus I would be thinking what a waste of money down the drain .Plus I rather attend show that has 40 or 60 athletes competing which is good value for money compare to seven athletes which is not good value for money.

7 Competitors    Wow I think I saw more people than that at my local gyms posing practice...Infact I did. Where there was over 100 competitors btwn the past two shows before this one, one would have to ask what is wrong with this show.

Agreed with BigMD and Deepsouth, Dan Hibbs is an amazing Bbuilder, wicked shape and symmetry, fantastic conditioning and one of the absolute best posers in NZ Building. Something to aspire to.

I never met him when I lived for a year in Rolleston, but in the local paper, it stated that he had competed for NZ in a number of sports and competes in BBuilding sans all supplements (only unprocessed/organic foods!).

That in itself is just unbelievable dedication and commitment to his chosen sport!

Big show or small show, the guy still looks wicked.

Gym Rat wasn't commenting on the quality of athletes but the lack of competitors. No where does he take a stab at anyone on stage. The fault lies with Nzfbb and its ability to motivate more people into competing. There's no doubt about the quality of physiques that took the stage, however as an athlete I would of felt let down by the event organizers if I had no one to stand next to on stage.

I wasn't having a go at baging the athlets who competed at that show and from what I saw from the photos from the show on Go Figure they were good physiques competing at the show.I would also feel let down the event organizer of the show if I had no one to stand next to on stage.I agree with 1kg yes the fault dose go to the NZFBB and it's abilty to motivate the average person into competing.

The guys looks quality and seems to present himself well both on and off the stage. Out of interest, what does he weigh?
