Well there it is. The results of the first day back. Took all of about 10 minutes to complete, even just from those two exercises i wasnt felling too good. Just going to take it really slow first week, work into it a bit more on the second and hopefully start giving it my all on week 3.

As for the actually excercises. Deadlifts felt nice and easy, or though i had weird ass craps walking out of the parking lot for some reason. Didnt want to push too hard, just got in some solid sets so the muscles know its time to wake up.

DB presses were alright, felt lightish so not too bad, stamina was a bit of a problem though, it got exponentially harder as the reps increased.

So, probably hit squats and MP either tommorow or wednesday.

Yeah im sure they will, i just want to take it nice an easy, i dont want a surprise injury to hold me back.

Well a did promise to get back into things now but my last temporary job has led me to a new permanent job in Wellington. So ive been taking a couple of weeks to get settled but im really kean on getting back into the gym.

If anyone has knowledge of anything to do with the local gyms in Wellington, please let me know.

When you say permanent job, are you not going back to uni then or is it a long term part time job?

Well i already have 1 uni degree so i just went with that, i dont want to study anymore, so i looked for jobs and got a really good one :grin:

Nice! well im trying to find out where all the gyms are located and their prices etc.

It would be awesome to train with the squat legend himself, whats the latest with your health, from your journal i gathered you were okay, then i read the "wheres jono" thread and it seemed you could no longer train?

Yeah mate im still around, took me longer than i thought to really get settled here. Ive been going to the gym pretty regularly, my weights slipped a bit though as you can imagine.

Once i get a solid routine going ill start to post my progress again.

After i few false starts its time for me to get back into my training. Basically i will have lost a tonne of strength so im not to optimistic about what my lifts wil be, ive basically only spent about 1 month in the gym total this year.

Muscle atrophy is evident and fat gain is apparent.

Ive decided to go with a full body workout 3 times a week using my own variation of HST. Basically my goal is fat loss, so i will try to prevent any further muscle loss buy keeping the muscles fresh. It will only likely be two work sets for two execrises per muscle group, so intensity will be high.

Hopefully with an improved diet and this regime i can get back up to speed asap.

Thanks buddy, im definately setting aside time to get back into the gym and posting here. Seeing all those gains slip away will be my motivation, ive reverted back a long way...

Yeah, Welcome back ! I thought you were giving up training, good to see that you are getting on track again. Any hints about what your new job is, glad it is good and you have settled down.

Made time to get into the gym this week, managed to get an upper body workout in. Will do a lower to see where im at strength wise there too. Havent been getting into the gym at all for a couple months now. Hopefully i can get back to hitting the weights a few more times a week.

As you can see from the workout, pretty lame results really, but ill get a split together and try to build from that.

Yeah, i always say im going to get into a routine blah blah blah, but this time i think its alctually going to happen!

Im currently moving to another place, so gym access will be a lot easier :D
