growth when are you getting back into the swing of things >?

Still havent been to the gym since i took the break, uni is just to important at this stage. My timetable is settling down now but it seems like at best i will only be able to train 3 out of the five weekdays as i cant go at night.

So hopefully i will be back into it next week, or maybe ill do some fullbody work on friday.

Dont seem to have lost any muscle though, weight has stayed constant anyway.

Just as a side note, i was thinking of doing a smallish 2 month cut, but really i dont need to, i didnt really put on much fat last bulk, my diet was pretty much bang on.

Should i go straight into another bulk? And summers over now so i finally have a chance to get in sync with the seasons. (last year i cut during the winter and bulked over summer  )

I really wanna crack the 140 bench next bulk

If you are not going to compete or worried about a cut for walking down the beach etc I would not do a cut. I would however just "coast" for a month or so just let your body time to adjust to the new extra weight time for tendons, connective tissue to get used to new muscle, before I did another bulk.

What are your total gains from last bulk? lbm gains?

My best progress (I think - I need to test this a bit more to be sure) are in the first few weeks after I've changed diet phases... eg from bulk to cut, or vice versa. The transition period while the body is still getting to grips with the new diet seems to be when I make the most lean muscle gains (yes... even in cutting mode!).

That being the case, I'd be tempted to do a quick cut first. There's heaps of time for bulking through winter yet.

I didnt measure with calipers or anything, just from what i can see visually, which isnt all that acurate.

Weight increased from 75kg to 81kgs from Jan 18 to Feb 24, so over about 5 weeks i gained around 6kgs, which is more than 1kg a week so id expect a bit of that to be fat, theoretically it would be about 3kg muscle, 3kgs fat given that the weight was put on over such a short period, but i believe most of it was actally muscle, as visually i dont see any extra fat in the ab region etc.

Pretty dumb to not do a caliper test before and after. Ill see if i can get one done next time.

I think i wont be able to get to the gym this week, so the week after that i may just coat along, going to the gym a few times just to try to help preserve the muscle ive gained, do that for at least 1 week, at the most 3, and then go for another bulk.

This time im going to change my diet profile though. I want to increase protein intake alot more. Ive seen studies in books where putting on 10pounds of pure muscle takes almost 1 year if you have a very low protein intake, 1 year if you use take in your bodyweight(lbs) in grams, half a year of you take twice your bodyweight(lbs) in grams, and i think around 90 days if you take in 3 times your bodywight in grams. I dont have the book anymore, i returned it to the library, buit those are the rough numbers, any increase about about 3 times does not have any additional benefit over about 3 times. I found that pretty interesting.

So ive got a while to plan it all out. At the moment im looking to do an 8-12week bulk and see how that goes.

I've done 2.5 gm protien per lb lean body mass before, its a lot of eating esp if you go for max 40% protien shake.

Yeah i want to try to get as much protein as i can from real meat sources. However that isnt all that convinent give my circumstances. But i think ill go with around 2.5gm/lb.
