You know what type of curl it is aye? Its where you stand up and have your tricep over the top of an incline bench set up at a fairly steap angle, maybe 60 degree. Is that the same one?

I would call that a db preacher curl, but perhaps I'm behind the times. I would have thought an incline curl was a curl done while lying on an incline bench.

I get the impression people are beggining not to belive me about the weights

Indeed. Are you sure you're not confusing lbs with kgs :P If your weights are legit, perhaps you should consider doing something which requires a high power-to-weight ratio. Gymnast? Ballet dancer? Male cheerleader?

yeah it is a db preacher, your not behind the times. i just knew what he ment :)

Oh so thats what its called. Seems kinda obvious now  Perhaps 'standing db preacher curl' would be more accurate as i dont actually sit while doing the exercise.

Today was pretty light work. As this bulk cycle winds down ill continue to increase the reps and drop the weights. For now ill aim for around 8 reps then increase it to 10 or so when the bulk is complete. Joints and tendons have definitaly been hammered this cycle, so next bulk ill probley go with 3 workouts a week, perhaps full body HST style, spend less time in the gym and more time recovering.

more time recovering sounds good man, you train when i have rest days.. so how manys days a week are you in the gym ?

Only 5. Monday - Friday. I wasn going to split the work days from the rest days better but i absolutely hate working out on the weekends.

Your from Wellington right? What gym do you go to? What gym is the best in town? What are membership rates like etc?

yeah im from wellington. main gyms in town are les mills and bodyworks.

i goto bodyworks. great gym huge range of equipment. costs 18$ a week.

theres 4-5 squat racks, a large range of machines, 5-6 benchpress setups, a huge range of benchs/adjustable benchs etc. a huge range of freeweights, tons of treadmills/cardio machines etc.

bodyworks is a pretty mainstream gym, but it has a ton of freeweights.

the sports teams train at bodyworks eg:hurricanes, sevens teams etc.

les mills i think is 26$ a week if you sign up for 1 year. it goes down if you sign up for more time.

theres also a powerhouse gym in welly. dont know much about it but its a more hardcore gym than bodyworks/les mills. the only reason i would go there is if bodyworks ran out of weights lol well that wont happen for a long time i think.

Cool mate, hows les mills gym, have you been in there before.

I only ask because i plan to move to Wellington in the future.

i know a girl who trains there, she thinks its great. never been in myself so i cant really say. anyway im sure you could get a tour of the gym before you signup. les mills is the most expensive gym in town..

les mills is pretty much the most expensive no matter where you are, of the big main stream gyms anyway. What city are you in at the moment growth?

Yeah i figured that Les Mills would be expensive. Its just its the only gym i have seen in Wellington since its near one of the main streets in the middle of town.

At the moment im in Palmerston.

Thanks for the interest mate.

Yeah am taking this week off for a few reasons. First, uni started this week, second, i think a serious injury was pending, and finally, i got sick. Seemed like a good time to take a week of dont you think :pfft:

Ill have to reevaluate my gym work after i get my timetable sorted, see where i can slot gym work in. Looks pretty busy though. Will probely only go 3 time a week :? Oh well.
