I've also decided to look at Sheiko to increase my lifts (not that I have not been doing any progress...but I am one greedy SOB) and also my current deadlift doesn't even look impressive and if I ever decided to boast about it I would have to compete against someone from the female category....the under 14 year female category that is :P

but it involves reading and I hate reading as I already do enough of it at work when I get stumped with some stupid error

so yeah my shoulder is still farked, the doctor says I have to see a physio and take some pills while I am at it (no you clowns not harden the f*ck up pills....I forgot the name of them though)

in the am I did 1 hour on the cross trainer

and in the PM I did the below shoulders started to ache towards the end, the flyes didn't help but I did it anyway...someone made a comment about me being fatter than before so I guess it's time to trim (so long love tank...we had great memories together)

Guts about the shoulder.. Is it a rotator cuff injury?

Haha love those brutal truths. What started me off at the gym years and years ago was one of my mates asking me when I became pregnant. If looks could kill!

yeah...funny thing is that the dude looks like he's been on the KFC diet...I got him back this morning when he was there with his buddy, I grabbed one of his tits and said "do these have yellow or blue top?"

my shoulder hurts more than ever today so its just cardio

yeah good thing the physio I normally go to is real attractive young lady... I guess it's worth it

and yeah Mike buddy reading how everyone improved on Sheiko made me decide to give it a go...but holy hell 1 workout takes FOREVER...I am too used to the 30-45 min lifting sessions :P

Guts about the shoulder.. Is it a rotator cuff injury?

feels like it...but will see what the physio reckons... some may ask "Crazyfacials...what did you do to cause such damage to yourself?"

I'd like to reply with "well little jimmy I was flinging these massive boulders over my head and then I heard a snap"

but in reality what happened was I was doing inc press and had 2 dumbbells a 35kg and 32.5 kg (I THOUGHT THEY WERE BOTH 35KG!) I lifted the 35kg up (through a thigh a kick) and it was all good...when I did the same with the 32.5kg something felt funny and as soon as it went up....it went down and I nearly did an overhead hammer curl right into the noggin but somehow controlled it at the last second and avoided brain damage...that's when I felt it... althought I was a good sport about it and laughed it off...luckly no one else was watching else I would of been very

So I saw the physio today...it doesn't seem like a muscle problem but he said something about a bone protecting the tendons forgot what he named it...started with B I think? he reckons it should be alright in 3-4 weeks time all work that i do with my shoulders has to be a narrow group rather than a wide grip...

spent a shit load of time there so no gym/cardio today...tomorrow i get a few drinks in me, come celebrate out south

so i did friday as per the spreadsheet....and celebrated with some drinks afterwards @ celsius (5 dollar redbull vodkas were pretty good though I didnt have many), the next day I had to get my skinfold done and i'm down 3% bodyfat

sat was more cardio, sunday was off....

Today I forgot my sheet and didnt know wtf to do so I repeated last monday, all went good until the 2nd lot of benchpressing...my shoulder is really farked, I think it's time I get that bloody cortisone shot, anyone ever had it? if so how long were you away from the gym after taking it?

So here is a little history about me and my “lifting experience”

I started at 14 (that’s 12 years ago) , you know just clowning around with the boys at the gym…trying to burn fat and get muscle (however I doubt my double cheese burgers/whoppers pre workout helped …not to mention I had a typical young teenager diet of coke+chips and other nasties) I was given a generic full body workout that was something like

Bike 12 minutes

Stretch

Benchpress (lol 15 kgs was heaps back then)

Flies

Rowing machine 1000m

Leg press

Lat pulldown

Treadmill 5 mins

I did this program for almost a year and wondered why I gained minimal strength….I never really pushed myself nor cleaned up my diet, it was easy for me to blame Howick Recreation centre’s trainers for my lack of progress, but I should of done some research of my own, but being the lazy kid that I am I never bothered to do so, for the next 3 years I’d go on/off joining the gym, I remained a fat prick however my strength slowly got better (except for the leg press machine, I was able to max that prior to turning 15 but then again their leg press machine weights jack all and is one of those fixed weight machines)

By the time I got to uni I was able to bench 40 including the bar…still some weak sauce crap, I was more interested in getting shit faced than working out or studying so after the first year I decided to can going to the gym…and some classes, anyway fast forward a few years later I am now working full time and drinking more than ever (my first job was at a call centre and I hated that job, the only way for me to stand being there especially with weekend shifts was to show up drunk, so I’d be out partying all of Friday till 7-7:30am then catch the bus to work and recover/sleep at work)

A few years later my weight got up to 115 kg so I decided to give the fitness buzz a go again…I bought like 300 bucks worth of EAS supplements lol, myoplex lite sachets + that creatine orange drink they had+ the thermo they had …what a waste of money that was but I did manage to bench 60kgs and get down to about 108

I got into judo after that and managed to bring my weight down to 98

Then I saw an add for one of those 12 week challenge things…I decided to give it a go (after scoring a voucher for it on the cheap side) I got very competitive and wanted to win it (just so I can get a voucher myself and sell it lol) my trainer was kind of clueless + the nutritionist they recommended was a waste of money (dude told me to go hard on the carbs, go light on protein and avoid all fats) all what my trainer told me to do was go hard on cardio and I did (sometimes 2 sessions per day) for the first 6 weeks then after that we finally got into lifting weights I did pretty well but the competition was rigged, I made a mistake of taking my own before/after pictures without cheating while the rest got it done at the gym by their own trainers and they did the usual “stick the gut out and have bad posture in the before, and suck it in and be all smiley in the after” to be honest I also did kind of cheat as you had to write a story about your success and I made up a fictitious story about how life sucked and now it ruled, I did do some touches to my final picture (no photoshop or any editing mind you) I ended up at sub 80Kgs , however with that weight loss came the strength loss, prior to be starting this challenge I managed to do 80kgs 1 rep, now I struggled with 60kgs in bench…I’ve never thought about doing squats or deadlifts.

I enlisted the help of a personal trainer at that gym but the dude was pretty useless with his generic workouts I had him for 2 sessions 4 weeks apart (should of asked for a refund after the first session lol) the first one he told me to never deadlift or squat and the bench press form we worked on was to take the bar of the rack, do a half rom and press it up…that counted as one! And in the next session he gave me another generic workout and said don’t worry about legs no point of training them! I decided to do my own reading and researching, did my own training…brought a few of my mates with me to the gym as workout partner but they slowly one by one decided to never come back (some even skipped leg days because they knew that was my favourite day and I’d go all out)

So fast forward to today, I weight about 90kg I’ve put on some chub (well heaps compared to my scrawny post-12week starvation-challenge self) however I believe I am currently the strongest I’ve ever been my weight numbers are no match to the majority of the people here (especially my sissy deadlifts :P ) but that only motivates me to try harder and push myself further, but this time I am doing it while having fun that’s why the change of program every few weeks.

Now that weight has been lifted off my chest I would like to thank the 2 readers (me and my cat) who read through this awful clusterfuck of grammatical mistakes and didn’t snore out of boredom

What are your stats now?

172cm short

90.4kg

squats I do 140 x 6 parallel (I can't ATG even without weights...should do some stretching to fix that tbh)

bench I think prior to stuffing my shoulder I was doing 100x5

deads I am at a shameful 140 x 4

I made sure to print week 2 and have it with me this time...

did it all and messed up the deads from the pins, did 4 sets of 110 and 4 of 120 other than that it's all good

also the calluses on my hands are finally hardening up to the point where it doesn't hurt as much to deadlift (prior to this most pulling excercies would hurt like f*ck) I even took a picture of it

now I have to do a shit load of studying ... can't believe I have to do pythagoras/ cos/sin rule stuff again
