Hey so I'm doing these reps and sets that this muscle and fitness dvd advices me to do to get big but I feel that its not enough, I'm doing heavy weights and after each set I can barely lift again for another 2min but right after that I can do another few sets ( must be the no-xplod kicking in  ) untill I physically cant and its painful for the next few days. Is this pain getting me gain or just.. well.. pain?

read the link, pritty much explains everything :D darn DOMS

hey dude i see you asking alot of questions about diet & training. Just stick to a training program (any where is a good start) & stick to a diet (you will know after you get a month under your belt what you need to change).

one of the other most important things is sleep, do you work night shift or something? or are you neglecting this other important thing?

how is that new diet you set up going?

hey bob!

yeap alot of question, only because I don't have anyone to ask for help and you guys are the professionals. I get alot of sleep typically between 8pm to 6-10am just lately things have had to be different due to work but things are back to normal now :)

The diet setup is going great thank you! recently brought a few kg of chicken so that should keep me going, not to happy eating oats with water, wounder if I can change it to weatbix?

I LOVE oats! =P~

pop it in the micro wave and then mix in a scoop of flavored protein powder and you have the best meal of the day!

his other topic says he trying to get shredded milk is no good.

Ryno look mate, when you want a mean physique you dont eat for taste ok.... if a bag of shit has more aminos in it than a chicken breast you eat the bag of shit ok.. HUA?

you need to put in some hard yards brother if you wanna make some good gains. stop looking for the most perfect diet and training program in the world and just eat clean, lift weights - train each bodypart weekly and do a cardio session either in morning or after your weights at night.

when you have plateaued on that foods you have chosen then you ask questions on here and we mix it up for u ok, but asking a million questions before you have even started is waste of your time and my time.

go hard!

his other topic says he trying to get shredded milk is no good.

The 100 or so calories he's going to get from having some milk with with his oats is worth it if it means he can stomach the oats. He said in his introduction he thought his bf% is "rather high". A little milk isn't going to cause too much havoc at that level, and if he shouldn't need to cut it out until he gets it into the single digits. When just beginning to diet it's more important being able to stick to something and be consistent, than going completely health nuts and eating foods that are good for you but you don't enjoy eating. If he enjoys his diet he's much more likely to stick to it, and in the long term that's the key. If he hates it he's more likely to cheat, in which case he may as well have had some milk in the first place if it'd stop him from cheating

but asking a million questions before you have even started is waste of your time and my time.

Disagree again. Asking questions and gathering knowledge is the key to success in anything in life, the more he knows, the more informed decisions he can make. The whole point of this forum is so people can share their knowledge and experiences. Ask away mate.

substitute for sugar = splenda.

your having protein powder with your oats, that should be sweet enough.

hell yeah prot with your oats is plenty sweet enough I disagree on the only using water with it I cant see a downside of using a cup of trim milk at 7am on a diet that time of the morning one cup of milk should not be a problem

hey fair enough thats your guys opinions.

in his diet i think he had oats as an option for 3 of his meals as the carb source so personally if i was him i wouldnt be having milk with 3 of my meals. but that just me and it depends on the trainer on how fast he wants his results and how dedicated he is. if oats is such a big fuss for him then just have potatoe... why did he even put oats in ther if he doesnt like them!

as for asking lots of questions this is good, but he is asking too many questions... he got a good beginners diet and training program now go do it!! you ask too many questions and confuse yourself especially as a new trainer everyones got a diff answer for u and some contradict each other. you could ask questions for ever. personally i think you would learn more if you were to start and ask questions as you go then you can ask more specific questions rather than overload your brain before you have even started anything!

its abit like the thing one of the strongmen/powerlifter on this forum posted up about everyone trying to find the perfect program when really all they need to do it SFW (smash fucken weights)

I didnt read his diet mate and agree if oats are in three meals (which they shouldnt be lol) then milk isnt an option I figured we were talking about breakfast.... some good posts coming through from you tom I think the mods find it hard to ban you if you keep up the informative posts but I dare say with your history you will get bored and stir the pot pretty soon :pfft: :pfft:

I didn't realise it was oats 3 times a day either, milk with oats for breakfast should be fine, but not 3 times a day. The rice or potatoes would be better for the other 2 meals I think, keeps a bit more variety there.

potatoes when on a diet dont work very well for me at least along with white bread dunno is it the starch content?????

Typically it is the GI BUT if you cook it with the skin on, coupled with protein and some good fats then I think the GI counts for bugger all really
