Today's training...

:twisted: Felt my bloody hip go again! It's been a bit sore lately am pretty sure I tweaked it doing those leg presses the other week and because I didn't stretch first!!! f*ck it.

Damn! Doncha hate it when your body doesn't want to get with the programme smiley-angry045.gif besides, with that 5 sets of 10 Romanians, you showed it who was boss!

I had a similar niggle on a deadlift the other day.... I just tell myself the iron'll be there tomorrow....

Yep unfortunately its part n parcel in't it :roll: That's the good thing aye TFB... the iron will always be there! :nod:

Hopefully a little rest should do it good. Are you doing any rehab type work to help fix it?

Will rest it up, i chucked some ice on it last night (well a bag of spinach to be exact lol), felt better at the time but this morning i've woken up and it's still sore as hell. Will do some stretching today but other than that, don't really know what else i can do???

haha yep i'll take time off from squatting, no choice :( it hurts too bloody much.... its been a pretty shit week for gym anyhow. However I did manage to get in there for 3/4 hr yesterday to do abit of chest

Is it your hip flexors giving you grief??

Um yeah I guess it is my hip flexor, lol I just stood up to check and funly enough the pain has gone :roll: Will continue to rest over weekend and try squats again on Monday, but will keep it light - see how we go...at least if I can do some,

Some squatting is better than NO squatting!

Abit of cardio today

20 minutes Bike

20 minutes Incline Walking

40 minute Sauna

Crappy shitty day in the Bay today :-|

Gutted. The same happened to me about a year ago, and its frustrating as hell. I used to do alot of dynamic stretches before getting under the bar for squats, and that used to alleviate the pain somewhat.

I'll see if I can find the site I used that listed the dynamic stretches and get back to ya.

There could be some variables as to why you couldn't do it such as; not as much carbs before the workout as you would usually have, not enough sleep or you may have even had better form. Everyone knows weights feel heavier with better form. But I can still understand your frustration. Don't let it get you down (no pun intended) and just keep pushing!

Yup these are the main two things that have been lacking I reckon and for no particular reason except someone is an insomniac :naughty: add in your shit feeling due to the hip its bound to have a negative effect on training for a little while, rest is key for the moment says doctor Hafoka.... work on those guns hehe.

Come train shoulders with me tonight missy???

Yup your right SAS and TT, my eats have been shit and yup sleep may be an issue but I can't go to bed and sleep if im not tired... anyhow i'll just have to train calves and hmmmm what else can i do? Leg extns? Hammies (lying)

And I can definately do shoulders, yep im keen TT :D

Oh man I just realised i've been calling these the wrong thing all this time! Duh i was called these Ezibar curls :doh:

Guess it depends - often it's easier to use an Ezibar in a preacher bench than a flat barbell, but i've done db preachers on the back of an incline bench...

Cheers dude, yeah i've never used a flat barbell in a preacher bench. I googled "ezibar curl" and it showed the dude yep using the ezibar but standing up, and "preacher curl" using the ezibar but sitting down. lol anyway... hopefully i'll have some nice Bicep doms tomorrow :D

Hehe i think coz im such a shortass and I tend to tippytoe all the time, it's helped strengthen them :pfft:
