Hows the body feeling after your most awesome efforts there chick? :clap:

Coming right now Steak, had such a great time! To be honest I wasn't gonna compete in the Highland Games as I was pretty unsure and had done absolutely NO training, but glad I did now :D

Hawkes Bay Highland Games 23/04/11

3 Attempts at each event, best result recorded....

Shotput

Weight for Height

Farmers Walk 50m (about 40kg each side I think)

Caber Toss(judging on closest landing to 12'oclock)

Had an absolute blast, the one I found the most challenging was the weight for height. That weight was bloody heavy! and then trying to toss it up over your head :shock:

Shotput I wasn't really nervous about but the Farmers Walk, I didn't even think I would be able to lift off the ground. Definatley surprised myself!

Caber Toss wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, caber was actually pretty light. it was just a matter of keeping the balance and tossing straight :D

Had a great day, got to meet a few of the Powerhouse Boys inc Drizzt. Awesome bunch of people and look forward to seeing ya's again 8) :grin:

cool! we often spend new years day at Waipus Highland Games..mostly to watcht the SHWs like Wookie, Pat, Matt etc..great day out! Last year there was a female givig the lightwts and novides a good run for the $...great to see.

Just MG, but the way she was throwing the implements around like toys I doubt most ladies would've challenged her anyway! Almost a perfect throw on the Caber too :nod:

Awesome effort MG!!! Now post some vids!

I've got a little bit of stuff from the Highland games, which I think includes a few vids of MG so I'll post up in here when I've put that vid together.

SAS: Farmers Walk... yeah dude I've never done them before in my life, hell I wasn't even sure I was gonna be able to pick it up so to be able to finish I was just stoked!

Only lady....yup was just me so yeah I was guaranteed to win :oops: but in saying that I did give it my all and at the end was a bit gutted to not have any other women to compare myself to... just to see how bad or good I did but ah well hopefully next year 8)

yeah jacked is ok.... its effectivness slows down after continual use... so dont go overboard and rail it eevery day pre-train

Cheers mike but all good, he's rationed it out and taking the tub home with him in a couple of days :doh: :pfft:

selfish bastard lol... note to self, when visiting the mount, double seal all pre workout supplement containers!

What's next? Hmmmmm :think: just keep doing what I'm doing I guess... I'm feeling a lil bit thinner lol maybe cutting down on carbs is working. I'm down 1.3 kgs so i'm happy with that! I will, I will get back into those pants :pfft: :D

My gym is holding another 500lb/1000lb club comp at the end of May. I could do that but i've already got my name on the shield so meh probably won't worry about it
