Cheers peeps :grin: Feels good to get a sweat on again :nod: Had some devasting news today from my physio... she's told me i'm not allowed to squat for a month :cry: so my hip can get better, pretty gutted but dems the brakes, would rather get it sorted now then make it worse down the track.

So I'm gonna need replacements exercises to make up for it

suggestions please..... :D

Nuts! still, a month will pass quickly, just think of it as time to work on that demon bench of yours!

Alternatives: Leg extensions, although they focus on the 'teardrop' they do work quads. The only other thing I could think of would be lunges, but I'm not sure what physio would say.

Bugga :shock: can you still do combat classes, etc or is it just squats that cause the probs??

Yup I can still do Combat, play touch, pretty much everything. It's just when I'm squatting it's compressing that area causing pain. I booked in for a Ultrasound today so got that next week, then they'll decide whether to give me a steroid injection? Hmmmm :-s

Yup time does seem to be flying of late that's for sure! Demon bench :oops: hehe still working on it TFB :D

And lunges are sweet as & I don't mind doing them either, it's just that whole hip compression thing :evil: I guess some Abductor & Adductor exercises too and loads of calves :grin:

speaking of bi-curls in the rack.....

i may have done some of those today!! :shock: :cry:

wide grip bi-curls on the oly bar

although there was no other straight bars to use and ive only seen 1-2 other people use the squat rack for squats anyways

its basic but has everything ya need :)

and only $150 for 3 months so cheap

gym i was at in melbourne was $25.50aud per week

massive tho and had everything

$25.50 AUD a week! Whoa that's up there but yeah gym's in oz pretty sick compared to here :nod:

Incline DB Shoulder Press

7.5kg x 12

10kg x 10

12.5kg x 8

15kg x 6

BB Upright Row

17.5kg x 12

20kg x 10

22.5kg x 8

25kg x 7

DB Lat Raises

5kg x 12

7.5kg x 10

10kg x 6

10kg x 6

DB Front Raises

5kg x 24 (alternating single arm) x 3 sets

Strength coming back up \:D/

So had a wee go at John's weighted circuit but my time got all fucked up because people kept stealing the cables I needed :evil: so I busted out 5 easy rounds anyway just for the hell of it

Standing Military Press - 15kg BB

Step Ups - 15kg Plate

Weighted Crunches - 10kg Plate

Tricep Cable Extn - 40kgs

DB Curls - 7.5kg/10kgs

Cable Rows - 30kg

Woodchops Single Arm - 15kg

And then jumped in on the Combat Class :grin:

For sure dude! That circuit there I copied off John and yep there's abit of everything in there, I forgot to mention that it's 10 x reps for each exercise too. John did his weights at 50% of 1RM but I did mine at a weight where I felt it was actually doing something :D and because there's only 10 reps....

If you have a scroll back thru my pages there's another workout in there where there's 18 or so exercises and you do them all for 1 minute each non-stop trying to get as many reps as possible per exercise and it's all bodyweight.

Try that out dude, it's a goodie :grin:

then someone showed me something else

35kg - both legs up then drop one leg, other leg comes slowly down 5 counts x 8 x 2 sets

Walking Lunges

5kg DB's - Walked the mile twice as was running out of time so only x 72

Standing Calf Raise

100kg x 20 x 7 sets

Some crossfit for time 20 mins

Military Press x 10 (15kg BB)

Box Jumps x 10

Chinups x 5

Hanging Raises/Decline Ab Crunch x 10

Decline Pressup x 10

Step Ups x 10 (15kg Plate)

Mangaed 6 Rounds...

Then, jumped in on Pump Class for AB's

Then Combat Class. Good sweat up tonight yup yup :grin:
