Went for a massive walk down the beach this morning before everyone got up....Gorgeous

Should have turned it into a HIIT session :pfft: Some impressive weights going on in here :nod: Good to hear you're making good use of the beach, 3 more months until I get to frolic in the sand :(

You've got St Kilda at your doorstep - swimming amongst those icebergs is supposed to be character-building! Think of it as cardio!

Wrong type of cardio when I have a shock induced heart attack! :wink:

I actually live opposite the botanic gardens so no sea in sight but the gardens suffice for some extra cardio when I feel so inclined. Went for a dip in early march, I prefer being able to feel my limbs for longer than 5 minutes in the water thank you very much :pfft:

My legs were abit sore this morning from yesterday's efforts so went easier :pfft: i thought about running for about hmmm... 2 seconds then it was a "yeah nah" :pfft:

Speaking of water... went out on the biscuit being towed behind the boat today and OMG I did the massivest bail it was so funny like literally whole body roll 2 or 3 times before smashing into the water. Classic Minty's ad :pfft: um the water was 25 degrees!

Feel abit shit at the moment aye, just had someone tell me that I'm way too muscley and that I should lay off the weights and just do cardio. "Lose some muscle jess" is what they said. Hmmm i know you shouldn't care what people think but still sometimes us girls can't help it :(

When I was a ballet dancer and 44kgs at 163cm I had a male dancer tell me I was too fat for him to lift me!! Not my fault he had the body of a 10 year old girl and couldn't lift for shit. Anyways I let it get to me and dropped to 33kgs. Now I know that it was him putting his own insecurities about being weak onto me.

Was this person fat?? There will be sumink that they feel bad about themselves for and can see that your healthy and strong so rather than improve themselves they will try bring you down to their level.

The last time someone told me something similar, it was a morbidly obese person telling me I don't want to take the weightlifting too far or it's not attractive. Bloody hell - he has already taken the pie eating too far and is a complete jabba the hut!

I'm working on a model answer to comments like that. Kind of along the lines of 'Well, we all have different opinions of attractiveness and how we want our bodies to look. I think muscles look good, and it's cool with me if you prefer a different look. Some go for the obese look and that's fine - their body, their choice. Personally that's not for me.' (kind of a thinly veiled - "so I'm muscly? - you're fat so ner")

I bet they don't go up fatties and tell them to go easy on the pies.
