Squat looking good just a few technique pointers, squeeze your arse to getha at the start, the next move is to sit back(like a goodmorning) before bending your knees. Depth looked a tad high just need to focus on going as deep as on every rep!

Last set at 95kg I got the 1st one ok but my calleous ripped to shit, I had to f*ck around with the straps blah blah blah, by that time I thought f*ck it I'll start again. Got the 1st rep again, 2nd I couldn't quite get it all the way up...

nice work J but deficits are pulled all the way through and its a good idea to make sure you get your reps...back off if you need to, its not a major. :wink:

Just found that out too Rach, know for next time now :D and yeah I should have backed off but typical me just doesn't. again next time I will :nod:

That was the one piece of advice that helped me thru #29... be conservative with the 1RM you use to set the plan out... you can always go around again after your test day.

But hell, any rack pull at huge percentage of bw is cool :clap: You'll be at twice bw before you know it :shock: :jive:

So another week down & dusted. Bench feeling real good. Only set back this week was that bloody calleous!

My hip flexor giving me a bitta greif also with squats, apparently i've got a fluid pocket or something underneath, so I really need to do more stretching, if it's not better next week will go see the physio i reckon.

Ha funny today I took VP's advice & was standing at the bar rubbing my hand across it to try and shred the skin off, I look up and there's a dude staring at me like WTF are you doing? lol i just grinned and gave him the sup nod before turning away laughing :pfft: yeah must have looked weird...

Lol next thing I'll see a post under the "Gym Weirdos" section LOL

Chicks with callouses......how sexy! LOL :grin:

Seriously though, trim them off as flat as possible with nail scissors. Then file them with an emery board if theres any rough bits. Keep 'em trimmed and smooth or they'll keep tearing.

Other highly useless bits of info on callouses I've learnt over the years include:

* During a comp - Chalk stings like f*ck after you tear one, but it stops the bleeding and lets you finish a comp!

* After a tear - Meths also stings but kills anything in the tear, it also seems to help toughen that area up again by drying out the new soft skin.

* Chrome commercial gym bars suck balls. If one of these is your only option join a new gym! If travelling & you have to use one, just throw straps on. No amount of chalk helps on these bars.

Ive been using a disposable razor ala wookie style and get them pretty flat however by the end of the week there back again :doh:
