The last time I tried that lift was up at CBC and feedback was I had no leg drive and my butt also came up off the bench, so I've been working on the leg drive of late and I'm pretty sure it's way better!

Just need to get the mind in the right place and not worry about the number like Steak said, just concentrate on smashing the god damn weight!!

40kg x 5

50kg x 5

60kg x 5

70kg x 3

80kg x 1 (had a spotter which touched my elbows GRRRRR)

Static BB Lunges

30kg x 12 each side

35kg x 10 each side

40kg x 8 each side

Front Squats

30kg x 10

35kg x 8

40kg x 6

50kg x 4

90deg Leg Press

75kg x 12

82.5kg x 10

90kg x 8

Toe Raises on Leg Press

90kg x 20

90kg x 20

90kg x 20

Combat Class

Started struggling 3/4 way through, felt so drained and tired. But I wasn't the only one, I caught a chick in the back yawning lol

Came home and jumped straight in the pool Ahhhhhhh

Good squatting! I hate that early spotting too... mind you my 2 goofball training partners are usually talking to each other or on their damn phones when I get stuck..

How did the weight feel?

Lol, nope not the no offence part :pfft: um I think it was the "that seems light for you" :D but it made me want to push that lil bit more, so thanks :wink: . The weight actually felt heavy tbh, it's been a wee while since i've had 80 kilos on my back so yeah. I guess I just need to get used to the heavier weight again, also not having spotters around (or competent ones) plays a part on how heavy I go too

Hit up the shoulders in the AM

Clean & Press (but not from floor)

20kg x 8

22.5kg x 6

25kg x 5

27.5 x 5

30kg x 5

I was doing these starting from picking bar up and resting at thighs, clean & press, back to thighs and straight up again - no pause. I didn't realise you were meant to do these from the floor :oops: was just going by how we used to do it in Pump. My bad.

Lat Raises

5kg x 15

7.5kg x 12

10kg x 6

5kg x 24 :shock: Holy Moly! Arms felt like they were gonna fall off!

Front Raises

10kg Plate x 12

10kg Plate x 12

10kg Plate x 12

Ezibar Upright Row

Went back tonight and did Combat Class.

You'll have to let me know some of your ab exercises....I'm getting bored with the ones I'm doing :grin:

Hmmm ab exercises.... I've been doing

Russian Twists, one where i lie on fb with a dumbell bring db from overhead same time as bringing my knees in, woodchops, bicycle, sitting on edge on bench legs out and in fast, hanging knee raises, parallel leg raises.... :D

Glad to supply motivation. Start giving big john some piggy backs to and from the car, should get you used to some heavy weight :pfft:

Your clean and press don't have to be from the floor, it's actually harder if you do them from the hang (above the knee) cos you don't generate as much pulling power as you do from the floor

Thanks matey, yeah I meant that i'm not following any programmes atm and just kind of doing what i feel like at the gym, I haven't really got any specific goals i'm working towards right now. That is easily fixed of course... just make some lol.

I've had quite a few birdies in my ear telling me I should look at Bodybuilding but hmmmmm I just don't think it's me aye. I'll just carry on as is for now, until I have an epiphany :pfft:
