Yeah not sure I want to post it after that comment PD! :-s

Trained Legs today. Didn't want to push it too hard because knee is still recovering so did a 800 rep session. Light weight, squeezing every rep, low rest between sets.

Started off with leg press. Just did 2pps. Went real deep every rep and squeezed every rep up to the top. Did 5 sets of 50 reps with 60 rest between sets.

Followed by leg extension. Only used half stack slow squeezed reps. Did 5 sets of 20 reps. Had to spot myself on a couple of the last reps to drain every last ounce out of my quads.

Next exercise was seated Ham curls. Set the weight to 175lb and did 5 sets of 15-20 reps. Hams were burning by now

So I moved onto the Hammer strength machine and did stifflegs deadlifts. Just used 3plates on it as did 4 sets of 12 - 16 reps

I hasn't done Good mornings for ages and my massause recommended it the other day so I chucked them in there. Just used 1pps on oly bar and did 3 sets of 12.

I picked up the 25lb DBS and did walking lunges next. 3 sets of 50 paces. On the last set I was puffed so I dropped the DBS and did the last 15 reps with just body weight. Nice burn in Glutes and hams.

Last exercise was seated calf press. Used full stack and did 3 sets of 50+ reps.

Different burn doing high rep versus high weight but it's what the doctor ordered at this stage.

I did 30 mins cross trainer then 5 mins in the boxing bags to finish.

I'm glad I don't believe in carb timing as I went home and had potato with my chicken breast for dinner. I feel bad for the guys who have to go home and eat just meat and salad :D

Still working with Jake til the end?

I sure am bro! He's done a great job so far, I recommend working with a good nutritionist when coming into a show, they can see things you can't. Jake is very honest and will tell me if Im slacking or not doing something right.

Perfect leg workout at this stage SG. See something good did come out of your LCL sprain

Silver lining bro! Cardio was tough this morning though, glutes were burning!

Heres that ab shot for you PD

Thanks heaps guys, I appreciate your support.

I have been bodybuilding full on for about 5 years now. The training can be hard sometimes but its probably the easiest facet of being a bodybuilder really, especially cardio. The diet when your bulking can be hard when you are shoveling food in when youre not hungry. Diet when cutting is hard. Especially carb depleting before a show. But the hardest thing about prepping for a show for me is drying out. I thought I'd try drop a bit of water for the photoshoot I did on the weekend. I didn't touch my sodium intake just drank heaps of water on thursday and friday up till around 6pm then pretty much turned off the supply, just a few sips on saturday.

I was so thirsty all day and my mind was full of f*ck. Its horrible. But I definately dried out a bit and cuts and vascularity was good. Anyway I did the shoot last night at 7pm. I wasn't sure what Matt wanted from me, but it turned out he actually wanted me to lift weights. Not the easiest thing when you're dry lol. We mucked around with a few things until he got the shots he wanted.

He put a few of the more posy shots up on facebook which Im sure some of you have already seen. He will give me a disc of the other shots later this week which have all the mandatorys and a few free poses etc. Had lots of fun and will be doing another one in between my shows in 5 weeks time so will be alot leaner and harder. 2 and a half hours later we were done and I skulled back about 3l of water and a few electrolytes and felt heaps better.

Heres a couple of shots in case you havent seen them. Ill post up a couple of the other ones when I get them.

Looking good bro. Awesome conditioning and yep like Nate said, I wish I had done a bunch of pics when I was in shape.. but you know, way back then.. the black and white photos weren't the best quality.
