Got to be a good leg session when you actually get some spew in your mouth lol. Session sounds ace. Looking forward to the progress pic's, sounds like your cutting up nicely.

Thanks bro, it's nice to actually see the gains I've made in the short off season coming through

Awesome session bro! Sounds very intense! How much rest do you in between sets when you usually train alone?

Pretty good session for Hammies, I just run out of exercises so do more sets. I try to keep rest breaks to around a minute in this session so I was all done and dusted in around 50 minutes. A brief but intense session.

Have only had one squat session this year so far. I decided to give squats a break. I have smashed them week after week for many years without much break. My knees are loving me for it :). I do miss them, probaby more than i miss carbs lol. I will be adding them back in next week

Quick Progress pic as promised

I am working on my condition this season, in fact 14 weeks out from my first show I am in almost as good condition as I was 4 weeks pre comp last year.

Legs are looking best ever too. Got a couple of pics but I'll save them (bit too white and hairy lol)

Looking great SG at 14 weeks out. Will be good to see you on stage soon. Your conditioning is coming along really well.

Well done to you. :)

Thanks Ann

Got a plan and its all going well so far

Idol.

Holy vascularity Batman! Looking sharp bro
Mate you look mint! Will be awesome to see the end product. Mr NZ for sure.

Thanks alot guys!

I have decided I will post a couple of quad pics too, very depleted so lacking in size compared to when full and very pasty :shifty: but it shows where I'm heading, and they'll only get better from here.

Thanks guys! Looking forward to getting a pic with you gym rat, I'll have to frame it and put it in the trophy cabinet :)

I am 100% NABBA/WFF this year Pete.

I'm planning on first comp this year being the CNIs in Tauranga at the start of May. Possibly the Christchurch show the week after but likely not at this stage. 2 weeks after that is the Southerns on the Gold Coast in Queensland. That will be a really awesome comp with the best from Aussie. I want to come in ultra sharp for that one.

There is a remote possibility of the NABBA universe which is in June in Ireland that I would definitely be up for but comes down to performance beforehand.

Then in August there is the Pan Pacifics in Auckland which I am 50/50 on because it's right in the middle of the competition year and will have to peak 3 times in one year which isn't ideal, might give it a miss, see how I feel.

Was toying with either the Wellington show or Nelson show but they are both very close to the Nationals in October which I am DeFiNaTeLy doing.

And again the NABBA worlds follows that in November? Again would love to go there just for the experience but it comes down to how I go at the nationals.

What comps are you thinking of doing bro?

Wow thats a lot of shows - lot of conditioning

Hopefully you don't lose too much muscle by the end

At this stage NABBA Nats 6th Oct, IFBB VIC States, and IFBB Australians (depending on dates for the Oz shows this year - they should be Oct again)

Undecided if i'll do NABBA Class 1 or Masters. Would like to go to the Universe though so would have a better chance in Masters

Back from my 5 day Wellington trip today.

Whilst the 7s was great fun it was infuriating trying to have a 'holiday' with 'normal people'. None of my mates who I went with are bodybuilders and I just got sick of constantly trying to explain my eating to people. Not to mention trying to find meals on the go that fitted my macros.

Anyway As I said the 7s were awesome, my Puss n boots costume went down a treat. Bit too much attention from the ladies sometimes, didn't make the missus happy when they just came up and started feeling me up lol.

Gave the new wheels a good blast too, 04 Toyota Caldina GT4. Not a hard bodybuilder vehicle like a Dodge Ram but still a bloody nice car :) not to mention cheap on gas 1200km on 2 x 50L tanks is pretty good for a 2L turbo 4WD!

Only trained once while I was down there. Les Mills Extreme in the city. Didn't think much of it, and why couldn't I find a squat rack???

Chest and bis

Bench 3 working sets last one was 160kg x 5

DB incline press - 4 working sets, last one 65kg x 8

DB flies

Hammer plate loaded incline presses

Cable flies

Dips

Single arm DB curls

Machine curls

Preacher curls

Dble bis in the ropes

Amazing how much water I took on board the day after having a few drinks. Looked a lot more bloated and full than thursday.

Fortunately most of it was flushed by today.

Bwahaha puss in boots that's awesome. Can see how you'd get harrassed quite a bit though people just are not used to seeing a built fridge like yourself I mean who does wellignton have Bigkiwi and Drizzt :pfft:

hope it didn't put you off Wellington don't know why you wouldn't train in the House though plenty room for you there.

When I was at Extreme the Racks were on the top level where the ring is not sure if that has changed though.

Hey bro nice work with the dbs, 65k for 8 on inclines after bench!

Should have gone to the house, there's more than enough squat racks there and the dbs go up to 170Ibs, I am hanging to go back just to have a crack at those dbs.

Nah I loved Wellington bro, I will admit I've been slack and spent very little time there in the past but I can see its appeal. Beautiful place with lots to see. I didn't go all the way to the top floor I guess. I would have thought the squat racks would have been in the 2 mixed gyms. Nevermind, wasn't squatting anyway.

The missus and her mate were shopping in Cuba st, the gym was right there. More of a convenience thing bro. Will def have a train at the house next time Im in welly though.

pics of you in puss in boots costume (no homo)

its hard work trying to still be a bodybuilder when your out on holiday with "normal people" ah should of carried around a backbak full off tuna and rice waffers lol

Bastards at the stadium wouldn't let me in with prepacked chicken and rice (might be laced with vodka.... as if  ).

Heres a pic of me in my costume

I had a costume within a costume actually. Me and my mates all went as famous cat characters but we also went as 'In Bread Cats', you know that thing that went viral last week. You hollow out a piece of bread and stick your cats head through it and take a photo. We all had giant pieces of bread around our heads too. I was surprised how many people actually got it and they loved it, and also alot of people who thought we were Cat Toast or even Tiger Bread (WTF?). For those who are unaware here is cat breading.
