Yeah well it was the last leg train I was going to get in before the nationals Harry, didn't want to push it in the squat rack so thought Id hammer the leg press. Kind of regretting it now because my quads are still aching and I can't pose them. I've only got 3 days till I'm back on stage and its a definate worry! The endless cardio isn't helping recovery either.

I'm on stage at the Bruce Mason theatre on saturday Nate. Its the NABBA WFF Nationals. Catch you there!

Weight training sessions have still been brief. High intensity but over in under 45 minutes. Not worth mentioning the weights and exercises used but basically a really good pump session. Cardio has remained 45 mins in the morning and 30 mins - 45 post weight train.

Have been carb depleting since yesterday and am running on empty big time. I always go a little bit crazy when Im like this, last season I swapped my perfectly good BMW for a souped up Evo which turned out to be a lemon. This week I went out and bought a hardcore laptop, PS3 and shit loads of games to keep me busy. :shifty:

The plan is to keep carb depleting till Friday lunchtime then start adding a carb meal every 2.5 hours. I am stealing Androids Banana/Rice idea and will be running with that. Exact quantities TBC.

Will be on stage at about 5pm so I think I will smash a high carb/fat meal at 2:30 so it will give me at least 2 hours for it to settle. I am thinking a pizza and fried chicken will do the trick =P~

Off to go train Bi's, Tri's and Abs now. Last weight session till saturday morning when i will go in and do a blast to help shuttle the carbs into the muscles before I head up to Auckland. Will do 30 mins cardio after weights tonight and an hour cardio only tomorrow and have Friday off.

Feeling like my body is in a good place, mind not so much. But thats to be expected lol

Mannn. I've only got up to 4pps for 40 so far! and that's not one week out! I don't think you're dieting hard enough SG! Hahahahah. That's some serious reps for the weight though man. Should have done it coming back the way. Them train tracks!

One a scale of 1-10 how excited are you to start squatting again?

Cranky the crane rearing his head yet bro? Lol

You bet he is. To be honest to lethargic to even argue with anyone anyway haha.

Moved onto the leg press and did 'the pyramid'.

2pps for 20

3pps for 30

4pps for 40

5pps for 50

6pps for 60

7pps for 70

Holy fuckamoly!

No wonder your legs are so huge, they have no choice

Thats the idea bro!

You should give it a go one, see how far you can go. Its killer!

Cheers bro. I figured it was my last chance to smash them before they were on display so why not go as hard as poss!

Dude you have no idea how keen I am to get back in the squat rack and shift some heavy ass weight. About a 12.8/10. But unfortunately something has happened that may mean I will never squat heavy ever again. Bit gutted but more on that at a later date

Bodys looking tight but not feeling good at all. Only got 3 hours sleep the last couple of nights, stomach has been cramping big time and feeling very heady.

After some further input on my comp prep from Harry (thanks heaps bro), I have decided to start carbing up this afternoon. I have been depleting for 3 solid days now and will do this afternoon, tomorrow and assess on friday night what needs to be done for Saturday. Still going to keep it relatively light. Going with kumara and Rice because thats what the body knows.

Just finished last 45 min cardio session and sitting down to 100g Kumara w 150g Chicken breast and green beans. Damn Ive been looking forward to this. =P~

Heres a pic from this morning. 101kg. Pretty tight but very flat. Can't wait to start filling out and dropping my water!

Nice, looking good man, very tight. Now be conservative and come in dry and hard!!!! You got plenty of size so you don't even need to worry about trying to be full!!!

Cheers Harry. Am following your plan so if I spill over i know who to blame. BAHAHA just kidding, Im taking it easy. Best thing about carbing up early is you get to assess and have time to slow it down if you have to right?

By the way, Im pretty lean but I still can't find my bottom 2 abs. Are 6 packs a myth :-s

Everyone has a different abdominal structure... and yeah you carb up a little early in case you need to fix something up and man it takes a while to fill up a frame that size!

So yesterday afternoon I started my carbup. Had about 250 c total from Kumara and rolled oats.

The body wasn't used to it and got very hot and tired and it tried to process it. Was an uncomfortable feeling to say the least but my head felt heaps better.

Did some posing before bed and couldn't believe how much I had filled out, tightened up and the vascularity was great!

Woke up this morning and unfortunately had flattened out again but still reasonably tight. Weighed in at 101kg at my gym and got a 4 site bodyfat test done with calipers. Although I was hardly reading at all on the front and arms I was still holding in my upper and lower back. Came out at a genuine 5%. Look closer to 3% from the front and back will tighten up once I start adding more carbs and drop my water so I should be fine. Nothing I can do about it now.

Will probably keep carbs around 300 all day today and re assess tonight.

No weights today, maybe a 45 minute walk to help my body take in the carbs and a light pump up session before a decent pose Practise.

You be fuckn awesome on stage tomorrow show them how it's done and take the overalls mate with or without Mark Reed there.

Go for dry-as look as u can endure, eat dry food all day and tomorrow.

Waking up flat just means need more carbs but u have loads of time Saturday to add more so if still flat tomorrow morning dint worry, just b dry. Have a whiskey tonight :-) I'm gonna have a Vodka martini... or two

Best of luck ay

Bro like Android said, you have so much muscle on your frame it's all about condition not fullness. Come in DRY and HARD! I can't wait to see some pics... (oh keep loading on the wet carbs today bro if you wake up flat, the water you can start pulling out as the day progresses!!! Pose, stretch and walk!!

I'm still unsure which way to go with regards to wet and dry carbs?

I have been eating dry kumara, rice wafers and raw scotch oats along with chicken breast, sipping water with each meal.

Half a diuretic this afternoon and again tonight to bring out the water and again in the morning if required?

Heres a pic from this morning - flat, not vascular and looking tiny as hell, the natural light doesnt help much either lol. Was spewing when i saw it. Need to fill up alot more from here, although I dare say dropping my water will improve things alot

Welcome to contest day feeling tiny lol means you're in shape... just eat up the wet carbs bro.. right up until early arvo, good you started thee diuretic already gets the water started moving. Vascularity who cares and flat who cares, just dry dry dry... start restricting your water from mid arvo I would say and switch to dry carbs also and your skin will start to shrink wrap. Then a diuretic before bed and again in the am...

Okay cool. What Wet carbs would you recommend Harry?

Whatever you like eating bro.. white rice... potato, sweet potato.. all of them together? lol

You are a big dude and at this stage your metabolism will be absolutely humming. Eat every 2-3 hours. Drink also with each meal. If you have been having 4-5 litres a day like you should have been the last few weeks then take in 2 litres today and have most of that before you switch to dry carbs then staunch it out til showtime with basically just sips from mid arvo today until showtime tomorrow. Like I said watch your body and see how it is responding. If you have a good set of second eyes you can trust then get them to give you some perspective. One you start dropping water I think you will look crazy just got to fill up a little more first.

Solid advice Harry. Think I better hold back on the carbs a bit now. I have never done a carb up that lasted more than 24 hours so I'm a bit nervous at the moment Cos I'm almost about as good as I thought I would look before I jump on stage right now and I've still got 24 hours to go lol. As you say, I will come in with size no matter what. Just keep it tight.

Thanks for your kind words Bobsta and Damo! Show starts at 12, open men's classes from about 4 I'd say.

Good luck SG, you might think you look tiny but you're still above 100kgs on a small frame. Massive! Gonna look mint on stage bro. go hard and make sure you show off them wheels and hope khalid's are soft like they were in his last show! lol

Thanks man! Luckily for me Khalid is doing the Waikato IFBB show so I won't have to worry about him. He's Androids problem :pfft:

I will be posing my quads as hard as I can so I don't look too silly next to Mark Reed and Steve Orton!
