Nice size, and yeah quads! Your right leg doesn't look like it's in the correct position though on the rear double bicep. Could be the angle of the photo but it looks like it's going straight back as opposed to kinda bending out. Not sure how to explain it, but that's how Ronnie does it. Just trying to help so don't crucify me hahaha

Thanks for the positive comments guys. Rook I think young Dolan is bang on the money. Legs supposed to be at 10 & 2 and spaced further apart. That's why I took pics, to check my posing form.

Haha ok, it just comes across weird when a novice tries to give a veteran advice thats all.

Looking good man, not sure about doing a show just for the hell of it though. Not when it's a show you could win if you prepped 100% for it. First time the aussie judges see ya bro so when you do it make it a good one!!!!!!!!

Oh and knees should be slightly turned out when you do you back double biceps just so your flare is even more exagerrated, with glutes flexed which you can do by just tucking your hips forward in that pose. On side pose position your front facing foot with the heel in the middle of the back foot and push your legs together a bit. That will give some thickness to your hamstrings from the side so that you don't look like it's all huge quads, also allow you to tense your glute from the side a bit better.

Just my 2 cents... and probably only worth about 1 cent lol

I saw a posing video that a guy posted on here. He goes on about how you can push your glutes out as opposed to tucking them in and still have the same definition as well as it making them look bigger. But I haven't found that for me. I'm just putting that out there for you to try that and see how that works for you.

That must be someone who has no glutes.. most of us don't have to worry about making their glutes look bigger, definitely not someone like SG or me for that matter.

I hear what you're saying about first time but I still want to compete. Only got myself to blame if I bomb out lol

Took on board your advice and Shutupandsquats and after a leg train I had a practise pose session and was happy with the small changes.

Was after a quad session and am completely decarbed so looking pretty flat and watery still :shifty:

Heres a rear double bi's with right leg further back and wider spaced with a bit of a bend and rear knee facing out more. Tried to tense the glute and bring hammy out more. Could have flexed Biceps and back a bit more but hey, one thing at a time.

Good quads bro, well done

Thanks Bobsta!

Thanks Harry. Those little tweaks can make such a difference. Problem was I was posing a rear pose while I was looking in the mirror in front of me. Can be a bad thing cos you instinctively try to make your front look good too. As you say, I need to roll my arms back a bit and turn fists in to get those bicep peaks popping. Should be good with a bit of carbup too.

Have decided on carbup. Show is a all in one format. Starts at 5pm on saturday, will be doing open mens 100+ so will be in the last class. Imagine I will be last guy on stage so probably wont be till 9pm.

Keep carb depleting till Friday night. Start carbing up after registration on Friday night around 6pm. Eating 2 cups of white rice and 200g cooked chicken breast at 6pm, 9pm. Go to bed

First meal at 7am, then 10am, 12pm, 2:30pm, 6pm. No red wine before I go on stage. Maybe just some jellybeans. Last time I was a bit pissed from one glass lol

Muscles are feeling okay. Calves a bit tight from all the cardio Ive been doing. Getting stomach cramps from no carbs and only 1500 cal per day.

Mind is wandering all over the show though. Cant focus on anything for longer than a couple of minutes. A bit cranky.

So pretty normal for pre comp. Been alot worse before :pfft:

On with the big boys eh.. hate it.. sitting around all day and we know you wake up on show day looking the best then the waiting around just wrecks it. For me anyways. Just be conservative and remember that while loading etc might give you 5% it could also ruin you by 50% lol.. plus you know you're not quite 100% conditioning so I would just try drop fluid and not even worry about loading or anything like that.

Oh and yeah posing is hard when you only have mirrors in front and behind and no real guide! Come to sydney and let me sort out those posing details before the end of the year when I have to compete against ya!!! lol

He had glues, but he's an IFBB judge and that's just what he looks for. Like I said, I haven't found it works for me so yeah.

Also, I feel a sense of accomplishment for correcting that rear double bicep. Holy bajesus your hams are thick. I have the same problem with the hips tilting, and it's easy to forget.

I'm struggling to think straight right now. So hungry and thirsty and dying for some carbs. :? Not long to go though, start eating carbs first thing tomorrow morning.

Weigh in in a couple of hours then training with IFBB pro Ben Pakolski He came fourth at the Melbourne show last week and is guest posing at the show tomorrow night. My mate organized a train with him so I'm gonna hang and see him in action cos he's awesome. Not gonna get drawn into actually swinging any weights cos i can hardly type let alone train haha. His Calves are bigger than my head! Should be awesome

And luigi sorry missed your comment. It's at the Italian club in west Perth from 5pm. Txt me if u want the address. Cheers

Thanks Creatine, but Ben makes me look like a little girl! He is a true giant!

Weigh in didn't go to plan. Have carb depleted all week and restricted my water intake hugely so have lost alot of weight. Weighed in at 102kg so I was safely in the over 100 category. Unfortunately It was just me and one other guy in the over 100s, and because i hadnt pre registered the organizers have grouped me with the 90-100s so Itll just be the one class - Open men over 90s. Oh well more competition.
