Agree fully with this! After I completed smolov base cycle last year my dead rose up also. Think you may find that with a fresh session of deads you will be surprised!

good enjoyable sess, actually had time to do some other stuff!! box pulls bit slow today but the rest was good considering i spent 9hrs digging post holes in the sun today, but stoked to still bank a good sess!! also busted a few mad tri poses for traps to demo what he can achieved with hard training and solid eats.

other findings -

nemesis viking power is claiming to be sporting 4 abs now
, so iv sharpened up my eats, as i dont mind him beating me on the platform, but there now way il let him out physique me when we hit the clubs post comp!

week 1/10 - process squat + light bench

bat suit engaged 42 sc - just working to low box around para

220x2 - "" - only started feeling good here as the extra weight kept me in good form

was only only gunna do straps down for 1st sess but just had to have a feel with them up

couldnt quite touch the box, but so easy, one rep i just sat there for a few secs in tried to push down some more, pretty fun just been able to play around with 5 plates `

good 1st outting in the suit, whole new world thats for sure, will take abit of time, i think the more weight on the bar the easier it will be to perform a good quilty squats, anyway iv got 10 weeks should be good good!!

anyway viking power (man or myth) the man im trying to hunt down was around today so we spent most of the day discussing the finer points powerlifting, so i was pretty keen to do somthing tonight after the herd went to sleep....

been abit of talk of late about using the super cent squat suit to pull deads, as i know barbrother does it awesomely, so i watch a few vids of pplpullin in suits in went in had a crack

seriously i love it!!, my tech has alway been pretty ave ie hips shooting b4 bar moves in what not but once that suit was on tech was much better!! just help so much off the floor wer i am weak, i was just squating it up, 230 was the speed of my norm 200, only once i got to 240 the hips shot abit early but not to blinkin bad!!! put 247.5 on but was never really into it, could of went into war with it but il save that for comp day, all goin well i think i may be able to get close to 250 on comp day!!

will post some vid sometime just almost out of gig...

haha yip solid boom, best part is it seem to put no stress on the body, as i norn feel abit beatin up after raw maxin but with the suit it just seems to hold everything in the tight.

+ i reakon there should be plenty more pop off the floor too if i took the straps up as they are not that tight, but will learn to squat in the barstard b4 jumping the gun.

Nice pulling there Rick. On a side note I only used the Super cent fpr the NIs and that was becasue i dropped weight and my Velocity was a bit loose. i would probably rate a tight fitting velocity over a Super Cent but only just. Will be interesting to see how you find using it.

thank mate, it seemed really good for the 1st time, but i have nothing to compare to, helped a ton off the floor, will use it for now but very keen on getting a size smaller dead suit at some stage as its not that tight, but she will do for this year or so as i really want to get the raw up alot more before really going hard on the gear

faaark was nearly fallin asleep b4 train as dug outragestly big hole today to fit a spa into as we could get the digger man over in time, then had a few beers went home in sat down and almost stayed sitting!!! took in 7l of water during the day in was still struggling to stay hydrated!! madness

faaark crazy hot train, didnt make norm day with crew so it was a lonly old night sol in the shed so raced around

squats - 1st set bit rough just not warmed up enough, switch on 2nd set ease, did some fronts to add some extra squat vol, very enjoyable

bench - still going good pretty quick 130 after long pause, was ment to do 3s on work sets but it wasnt gunna happin today so just went for speedy 2s which wernt that speedy!!

had to get shirtless after squat n bench in i swear i got the odd spot of ab in the mirror!!! tryed to get a pic but it never came back with any sign!!! even tryed some angles farrk!! vp is ahead in our ab off but il workin on it! but im a pasty ginger so i just claim thats why i can get a sighting yet!! brb getting spray tan..

You may have mentioned it recently (sorry if you have) but when an what is your next comp?

thanks bro, 1st comp this year will be auck champs in the end of march, 8ish weeks faaark cant wait ay!! then hopfully do NI's in maybe nats if i can sneek away for the weekend.

also i think there are a few bench only comps in auck this year to that would be fun to put abit of focus on my crap bench.

we also hold club lifts at CBC though out the year 1st one is in end of apr, so would love to have a raw lift in these with a crew as they are great comps in a stack off fun and very refreshing compared to the proper comps
