Pulls and bench 

top set:  sumo (prog was 245x2) 1st try glued to ground, 2nd time grinder out a crappy single, 

shit house tonight, considering Iv pulled this for a set of 4 before! Just couldn't hold the bar index finger is fukd up, body held a really good position but just no go, cut all pulls here, quitting 3 lifts and just focusing on bench....pity that's shit as well!! I can't win! May as well just get jakd n tanned! Any way need have a week or 2 light and build back up, raging!

bench 

work sets paused reps -

120x5 - 3 sets

singles - 130, 140, 150

120x5 - 3 sets

update:

squats - gone back to a 3 dayer with big volume, feeling aveage 1 week in but will get over the rut soon

bench - finished 4x weeker last week, hit a ok 155 paused single weds, will pump the volume all the way though, bench wars in 2 weeks hopfully a good clean lift over 150 will be the goal

deads - have blown out finger, had 2 weeks off, tryed to pull today with straps in shit just not happen, will just do some goodmorning or box squats in mean time, fuks up comp prep but will just take what ever and have a good shot at a bench/squat pr this time

today:

bench - single to 150, back off at 140x3 - 2sets

squats - 4x210 - 6 sets

pulls - singles to 220,

got a good vid of the crew today will up load later

1 week full back into, finger and hand healed so started pulling again, was pretty much over it but hit a really good squat 2 sundays back of 270 so was pumped on it again and decided to do the comp in 2 weeks time....wont be in decent form coming in but should still be able to hit a pr squat and bench all going well, deads abit of a right off, due to lack of training will take what i get, will pull conv this time as bored of sumo again...

sunday session still cranking, upto 5 members now for beginners to sesoned, faarkin lovin it, bit of footage from last sunday

fukin woke up weds morning and something has blown out on shoulder, think it was from a bail at work when arm shot out the save the fall and rench the hell out of it! having been able to lift arm over shoulder height last few day but much better tonight thank fuk!!

hit the all black game tonight with the herd, few wets and bit of fun, but still ended up getting in a late nighter as fridays is heavy squats, which cant be missed!!

squats: just went on a build up for some reps, current squat prog is all on auto reg 3 day a week doing a different scheme each time, Tues: pause squat,volum based, fri: heavy, intensity based and sunday: what eversgoing, but normally heavy

60x8, 5, 100x5, 120x3, 140x2, 160x2, 180x1, 200x1 added belt + wraps 220x2, 242x1, 260x4

also hit some bench to test shoulder, made it to 135 for doulbesfelt ok if i drop it in fast, then cg feet up 4 set of 10 at 80, will rest it up now and do heaps of band work so hopfully still be ok for 150 odd next week.

pumped on that squat set, was just planning to hit 2 but felt easy, 4th lost tighness but i think if i really went at it there could of been a rep or 2 still there, its all in the head you just gotta get grow a pair, would love to drop them in faster and deep though but it will come 

really feel back on track now for my major goal i set set year or so back to squat 300 raw with wraps as a natural lifter, was so close to throwing in in 3 or so weeks back then that one good sesssion with the sunday crew boys pushing me put me back on track, really shows the value of having a great team around.

What are those wraps you are wearing and I see others wearing too? They give insane bounce or something?

better than Titan golds?

i use these on my top sets http://www.howmuchyabench.net/lilliebridge-world-record-knee-wraps-2-5m.html they are 2.5m and quite stiff, can get 7 turns around the knee,  hard work to put them on tight but they are super cumfy now that they are year or so old, and dont cut in like titians and izer wraps iv used, they give  nice pop alright, id say 40kgs carry over not a prob if cranked

Defo keen to try those wraps. Got 2m ATP Strangulators right now, with my leg diameter I get about 4 revs, have to try reasonably hard to get 5.

they are bloody good mate, i can get more revs with my 2m inzers irons but the dont even compear when squating.

tonight:

went upto HPL tonight as the comp is been held here so we all got on mono and worked up to openers:

squat: 250 - prop abit to easy but plan to jump to 272 on 2nd so should be a nice easy start

bench 140 - struggling at mo, shoulder not to good but it is what it is

dead 240 - nice and easy, enjoying pulling conv again, will prob just straight to 260 on 2nd, iv missed it my last 3-4 comps by just gasing out on 2nd, no this time!! how ever after balls out squat will see whats in the tank, and with only small numbers its gunna be a crossfit even and will make it hard to recover between lift

scaled in at 98.4, 1st time in ages not needing to do a cut so fit into a class, sitting around 100 normally but came straight from work after a balls out day on the barrow in crazy mud doing some piles, bloody gased, will sleep well tonight

openers locked : 250/140/240 all going well 2nds will be(ish) 270/150/260 then what ever, cant waittt! also cant wait to smash ridiculous amoust of wets after missed out on todays aaction!!

game day match report: CapoNz nationals 
 

Stats: bw: 98.40/raw+/natty/orange
Sqaut: 250 - 270 - 280 (15kg comp pr)
bench: 135 - 145 - 150 (2.5kg (3lift) pr)
dead: 240 - 257.5 - 262.5 (7.5kg comp pr)
9/9 - 692.5kg

thoughts: 

squats: squat were on that day, the 250 and esp the 270 abit to high for my liking but got a whites but I knew it was boarder line , 280 was better and crushed it!! was faaaakin pumped!! huge pr and i think there was another 5-10kgsin the tank, that dream of 300 in wraps is within reach, i can almost taste it!! how ever could well be a few years of hard grind ahead

bench: all pretty easy here, played it safe but still got a small comp pr, 

deads: 240 easy then to 257.5 for a pr, bloody lucky grab bar real close i felt like i ripped a pec!! and them grip started to slip but had already been given the down call, went 262.5 on 3rd, just raged up and slowly got the kent up!! pumped on the one yeeeeow!!

blood top day that one!! was good to catch up with all, and despite low lifter numbers the standard was pretty solid and real mint vibe, big tom keep trying mate, will give ya another shot at the title next year *i-m_so_happy*

week 1:

front squats: 8x60, 8x60, 3x70, 3x90, 3x110, 3x120, 3x130, 3x140

cg bench: 15x60, 15x60, 15x60, 15x70, 15x80, 15x80, 15x90, 15x100, 40x60

hi bar: 8x100, 8x100, 8x100

reverse ezy bar curl: 12x35, 12x35, 12x35

bodys pretty much ready to go, only abit of a lame shoulder from comp, but seems ok today, really gunna get stuck in now and work towards so solid numbers.

Have the chance to go the GPA worlds in Sydney late November, Still up in the air what to do, it is an exciting thought as it will be hands down the biggest powerlifting meet in history with pretty much every big name lifter from across the world attending.  Will ponder on it for abit, I know i can give 300 on the squat a good nudge by then which is respectable, but my bench just isnt up to par nor my deadlift unfortunity, so much work to be done!

band lat low rows - black band 20,20,20,20

katbacks - black band x 25

good little lat pump, will rest off heavy pulls for a while and get in some solid beltless rep work.  Will pull some kind of deadlift or deadlift variation 2x per week.  Cant wait to rip into it again, the boys are fizzing, gunna be some epic sunday session coming up with some big name faces!! game on!

last night: bench

did 5/3/1 style:

work sets: 5x100, 5x112.5, 10x120

5x10x80 on 90s feet up 

just quick half an hour blast was real late at night just wanted to get in abit of work, good pump, bit weak though, was aiming for 12+, back on full steam now, super sundays with the GLA crew tomorrow, squats, pulls and ab's

GLA super sundays....

squats: paused to 190 odd for 2, backs off at 160 for 3s - still easing back nto squats full noise from this week, just gotta get a plan of attack, goal is 290 at gpc nats and 300-305 at worlds, gotta pump it up!!

speed pulls from 2inch def - 150 for 3s was about 10+ sets, 3 of us just went set to set non stop was bloody mint, hammy and gluts already start to dom up, really think i can make some solid gains on deads this block, anythin gunder 270 will be a failure come comp time

rows 60s, and prone holds 3x1:15min on min rest

mint session, up to a solid crew of 6 now, its really starting to go off, we need to extend the garages, we are also looking to add a new garage into the rotation in coming weeks!! so stoked that the vision is now going off!! squats tues!

week 2: bench assist

paused close grip - 

5x60, 5x60, 5x80, 5x100, 5x100, 3x120, 3x130, 1x135, 2x140

feet on bench, close grip - 5x110,  5x110, 5x110, 12x100

black band push downs 3x20. 

also my mate has almost finished my new power cage, we took basic desgin and jackd it up big time, the main box steel is 2xthe thickness of what industral althletic "heavy duty" rack uses and sells for $1000 odd buck and rest is made up from stuff he found laying around the work shop,  its a tank, also has the laser cut gym sign over then back for that custom feel, the boys from bench camp are also going to add a mono attachment so we can master the feel as we have monos for comp and walk outs are over rated.....

max tested to 608kgs on the pins....
