I admit to having a bigger chest than one of the ex's :shifty: Yeah me too and I was about 10kg smaller than I am now...

Nice to see you havent lost much strength with the cut bro, maybe time to think bout hitting the heavy shit again

I think if you do it right, you shouldn't lose strength, not from a BBers perspective though. Our boy Terror has got a goal but not a set in stone date and if he ain't in the low singles it doesn't matter. This discussion probably better suited to another thread instead of adding to the circus :D

He's strong, but is he intense? :D

I'm not sure on the biological mumbo jumbo factors but i think that strength will only take a dip once calories are dropped like a mafucka and/or BF% drops to damn low

You gonna rep it or try some triples and singles? Even if someone's stronger than you, most guys are really supportive and you will quickly forget that he's beating you by a hundy kilo :pfft:

If all else fails, just go Jersey Shore on him and show him up with the abs :pfft:

have even scrapped the diet today for a carb up instead

Good to hear, you do this often? Do you carb cycle?

I think if the cut is gradual then little to no strength should be lost, so basically Im guessing if you maintain the majority of your muscle mass strength should stay same. Maybe on something like squats your strength could change if you had a bit of a gut and then it disappeared but that would be due to the change in leverage

Sounds like a reasonable conclusion to make

think about the gut in 2 ways. It can act like a massive counter balance increasing your leverage against the bar. secondly imagine a pyramid would it be more stable if you had the point on the ground or the big wide base? A thick waist (dont mean just fat but one thats been built with heavy weighted crunches and side bends) gives you a better support base to drive force through.

The tide is shifting in pl now with alot of the top lifters in comps coming from the 100s 110s and 125class, but for tall lifters its real hard to fill out your frame to balance your levearages so sometimes the only way to gain more weight is to up the bodyfat. Me personally Id like to be a full 125kg at 15-20% bf but thats gonna be a big stretch!

hijak over 8)
