I got this of New Zealands number one fitness web site GO FIGURE

Pro Formance CNI Bodybuliding Champs, 25 Sept 10

Pro Formance Central North Island Bodybuilding Champs, supporting Breast Cancer Support Services Tauranga Trust

This contest will be supporting Breast Cancer Support Services Tauranga Trust and a percentage of the entry fee and door sales will be going towards this worthy cause.

Darrel and Kaye have been organising the Central North Island Bodybuilding Champs since 2007 and has been one of the most popular contests on the New Zealand bodybuilding calendar.

This year they will be running the show as a private entity with no affiliation with any bodybuilding federation in New Zealand (so this contest will not qualify you for any NZ Nationals).

"Big Kiwi" Justin Rys has agreed to guest pose at their show. He will be present at the registration on Friday evening. He will also be holding an open training session on Saturday at Bay Bodyfit, Mt Maunganui.

They have also secured Lee-Anne Wann, TV Presenter (Downsize Me), Celebrity Trainer & Author as their compere for the show.

Qualify for International Competition! However, they have been given the opportunity by Paul and Carole Graham (IFBB Australia) to use this show as a New Zealand qualifier for the newly introduced Country of Origin competition to be held in conjunction with the Australian Nationals on 23/24 October 2010 in Sydney.

I think that is a good idea to have a show and raise money for breast cancer services support in Taunranga with out being runned by the NZFBB considering that thhe mess that the NZFBB is in these days plus being a big joke like having a rule were the athlet can compete in two classes at show :?

Knowing IFBB, won't they cancel Big Kiwi's pro status if he guest poses at a non IFBB show?

the show has been given the nod to qualify for the country of origin by Paul Graham. sounds like a similar situation as NABBA/WFF --- IFBB Australasia supporting our athletes - so technically sanctioned by IFBB.

Looking forward to seeing Justin pose for sure - rock on man

Hey Guys, Can anyone tell me, with all this BS going on between the powers that be and Australia sticking its nose into the NZ bodybuilding scene and Kiwis jumping ship like rats.....If you want a Pro card and you compete for these Aussie shows, can you get one and if its awarded based on your success at Aussie shows, do you need to have an Aussie passport??

Will the Aussie IFBB pay expenses for competitors to travel to Aussie to compete at their nationals?

Also, Is this even legal?? I cant imagine the US Ifbb allowing Australia or any other country to run shows there????? this all seems really stupid to me.

Also, I have a friend who started going to posing practices with [MOD EDIT: names removed] and she left in tears...she was totally humiliated by them, she was yelled at and sworn at and totally traumatized by them.....worst thing .... she payed for the pleasure.......

What a bloody mess and a big joke the bodybuilding industry in NZ has become, Could be worse I suppose, Mark stewart could be involved.....Oh wait he is LOL Ill stick to Powerlifting lol

This is completely off topic discussed in this thread and asks many questions. Why don't you address these individual things in the threads already open?

Lifter, your post seems a bit suss :naughty: perhaps you are affected by all us rats jumping the SUNK ship.

I'm sure the Ozzies wouldn't have cleared the comps to be held if it wasn't passed by IFBB.

As far as your friend goes that's no good to hear but having meet Kaye a couple times (I admit I don't know her) she doesn't seem like the person you describe and I'm sure others that do know her here would say the same.

I love when losers come on here for the first time and start naming name's and bagging people trying to run bodybuilding events.

They are the ones that are put up by gutless people that can not have it there way. So now lifter let us know who put you up and all us competitors can judge who is right and who's wrong

The CNI's, was it always a private promoter? Like I know it was under NZFBB, but isn't the CNI's and South Island private promoters?

Loochi can you get it in your thickhead there is no CNI this year and yes a lot of the nzfbb comps have been run by private promoters over the years.

Also you have a comp in your town thats a nzfbb on October 2nd called Waikato Muscle Tournament, Founders Theatre, Hamilton

Geez Allan, I must be a thickhead too, are you saying there is or there is not a CNI, make up your mind.

The privately run show that has IFBB endorsement, is by my understanding, the same scenario at Outlaws legendary CCI that is not an IFBB show, but sanctioned which by the IFBB, allowing IFBB competitors to compete or guest pose without fear of rePROcussions.

yes michaelk there is are comp with the letters cni but it needs to be said by its real name which is Pro Formance CNI Bodybuliding Champs, 25 Sept 10

now if it was run the old way by the nzfbb it would called CNI but as you can see its not run the old way so it needs to be talked about by its right full name

LOL!

Chill out Allen you dumb dick head. :pfft:

Why are you so mad?? Jackass...

Really bro?? Pro Formance CNI and CNI ..? They sound similar to me..? (I got a 'thick head' though..)

I haven't heard anyone saying: "Nah bro, not doing the CNI's this year, although I'm doing the Pro Formance CNI's."

Thanks for pointing out the Waikato show by the way, I didn't realise.. :-s Everyone is calling the Waikato show 'The CNI' even when I went to speak to Brian McFarlene he said it doesn't make a difference, it's still the CNI.

Sometimes they do it in Tauranga and other times they do it in Hamilton... Both places seem to be in the central area? I'm guessing the CNI's are still on then yeah?

All I want to know is WHY all of a sudden the whole 'breast cancer'? Weren't they private promoters last year and previous years? Why didn't they do that then?? Why all of a sudden now?? A coinsidence when NZFBB made the CNI in Hamilton? Just curious?

I'll leave it at that my friend. But if you want to continue, by all means.. :)
