Does you body find it difficult to digest multi-vitamines.....

I had been led to believe about 90% gets pissed away....

Better spend your money on good food....

:D:D:D

I'd rather cover all bases and have expensive piss than have a deficiency. I always take my multi with a good fat source too to ensure my fat soluble vitamins get absorbed too

Opti-Mens is full of good stuff MATE, i was just providing senn with my 2cents worth and another viable option MATE

Opti-Men has high percentages of vitamins/minerals but the quality of those vitamins/minerals are low quality. Controlled Labs - Orange Triad is far superior multi-vitamin even higher percentages and much better quality not to mention its also much more than a multi.

There are many different types of vitamin E, Opti-men uses the low quality, Orange Triad uses many different forms of vitamin E, good quality.

OP if you want a good multi buy Orange Triad, you cant buy it here in NZ and bodybuilding.com wont send it either because it will get stopped by customs but i get mine from http://www.iherb.com they send it no problem.

Anavite is good, heaps of b12 and l-carnitine, real good if your trying to cut fat and not eating alot of red meat.

Beta alanine is great if your a performance athlete, maybe less so for a figure athlete

I feel some of the ingredients in optimen are a bit of a waste, like the aminos, the phyto stuff is all good but just get some greens and good fats in place of this.

L-carnatine will not help you lose any more bodyfat compared to not taking it, just saying..

Fat soluble dosent mean you have to consume a fat source to ensure the fat soluble vitamins get absorbed..

The difference between water soluble and fat soluble vitamins is when you take a vitamin supplement that is water-soluble, your body metabolizes what it can and flushes out the excess through pee. Your body does not store theses vitamins so it is important to get them daily through diet or a supplement. Vitamin C, vitamin B2, and vitamin B9 are all water-soluble.

Water-soluble vitamins need regular replacement in the body, fat-soluble vitamins on the other hand are stored in the liver and fatty tissues, and are eliminated much more slowly than water-soluble vitamins. Thats why they are fat soluble, it dosent mean you need to consume fat with them for them to be absorbed..

But yes you do need fat in your diet to absorb these fat soluble vitamins, but you dont need to consume fat with them for them to be absorbed,

Also too much fat soluble vitamins can create a toxic build up.

Twinlab was the multi to take back in the day used to get them from health 2000(free plug i still owe them :D)

probably one of the most expensive though but comparable to the usana multi's.

these days a cheap sports one is multipro32x although it smells like house paint and the daily values are off the charts so i break em in half.

Quite not sure if its really available in your place, but i know they market globally. The one I've taking is the MX Women's Multi-vitamins. They also have this kind of dietary supplement for men. I don't know their site, kindly search it over Google or Yahoo. Hope i can help you :)
