All Whites Win a point!/ Draw!!!!

I`ve never really come to terms with celebrating a draw. I`ll have to work on it.

look at it this way, we've never earned a point before in a world cup. we scored in the 93rd minute. it's just a draw, but to kiwi football it's a historic game

Wow... you lot are a tough crowd. :D

Personally, I was very happy. We had an office sweepstake on which Kiwi would get the first goal. I'd drawn Winston Reid, and everyone had laughed at me. "He's a defender," they said. "Kiss your $2 goodbye," they said. Ha-HAH! That'll teach 'em! \:D/

Yep it was a great result but they can defiantly play heap better and will have to against Italy etc:)

Absolutely, fantastic for NZ football buy to be fair we were very ordinary and probably didnt deserve the late goal. But Im a mad football supporter and as far as im concerned a draws a draw and its a great result!

Yeah sorry guys should have put "All Whites win a Point!" My Bad,

To those who don't follow football it may seem like alot of fuss for nothing but on a world scale it's a big result for NZ, kind of like a minnow team in rugby drawing with England or France in Rugby in the RWC.

Thought we played well in the first half then looked out of sorts in the second(until the end) thats what I like about football, if youre only a goal down, youre still right in it!

Certainly don't think we played "Like Shit" but at stages we were forced into quite negative football(alot of playing the ball around the fullbacks) this was due to the oppostition closing gaps in the midfield to limit options.

As such our tactics are pretty clear, - long balls to the tall timber up front, it aint pretty, but a quote I heard during the week was "if youre not Barcelona, dont try to play like them!", obviously we have some height up front, so that could be one of our strengths, especially in corners and set piece moves. Looking forward to the Italy game, although it will be VERY tough to get a result there. Good luck to the lads anyway!
