thought the gym had 70kg db's. would have liked to give them a go for db rows but couldnt find them.

Nah, pretty sure they only run up to 65s (the "plate" ones that aren't on the racks). Don't think I've ever seen 70s....

The gym I was at before the db's only went up to 50kg.... The 65's feel so sensuous in my hands :pfft:

- Incline Press

  • 60kg x 10

- Flyes

  • 15kg x 12
    20kg x 10

- Ticeps

  • few sets on skull crushers and press downs

* Had someone offer me a spot on the bench press today.... maybe they have been reading my journal??? pretty sure it wasn't TFB or drittzr... will have a crack at 140 next week and hopefully knock out 2 or 3 reps.

- Standing military's

  • 40kg x 15
    60kg x 5
    70kg x 5
    80kg x 3
    70kg x 8

- Seated hammer shoulder thing

  • 4 sets up to 2 1/2 plates per side

- side laterals superset with db curl
  • 10kg x 12, 12
    12kg x 10, 10
    12kg x 10 - 15kg x 10

- Bicep curls

  • 25kg x 21
    30kg x 21
    35kg x 12

- Bench press

  • 60kg x 10
    80kg x 20
    80kg x 15

* Solid work out. Thought it might be a good one after the "carb up" i had yesterday. Met drizztzr as well. Went up to him and said gidday Samuel L. Jackson..... a bit risky.... it would have been a very confused person if it wasn't him :pfft:

Friday 3/9/10

- Bench press

  • 60kg x 10
    80kg x 8
    100kg x 5
    120kg x 3
    130kg x 3
    140kg x 1

- Incline press

  • 60kg x 10
    80kg x 8
    100kg x 3

- Triceps

  • Did a few pressdowns and dumbell extensions

* Got a bloke to give me a spot.... after a 2 min run down on how I wanted him to spot me he does an epic fail. 1st rep on 140 flew up like there was nothing on the bar and then for the 2nd rep he puts his hands under the bar and helps pull it up right from the bottom :? frustrating as I felt like i had 3 maybe 4 reps in me and it goes down as a 1 :roll:

yes.... the guy that was giving you crap about going nice and light on 160kg squats! I thought you recognised me?? Sounds like I was lucky not to get cracked then :pfft:

Wasn't sure... but yep :grin:

Maybe a plate might have slipped outa my hands "by accident"...

Cheers for the birthday wishes. not feeling so young these days though.

Been in L.A. and San Diego for the past week. Just got to San Fran and about to head off to a giants baseball game.

Not far to go now until the Mr O...... stay tuned for nzmm's exclusive coverage!

On a training front..... I didn't want to embarrass all the small guys at muscle pit on venice beach, so I just let them have their moment in the sun and moved on.

Monday 4/10/10

After 3 weeks off and eating 2 meals a day and several alcoholic beverages a day it was back into the thick of it. We had various tests at rugby today.

Weighed in at 95kg (lost 4kg in 3 weeks :x )

Bench press - 140kg

Squat - 180kg

Chin ups - 18 (reverse grip)

Prone bridge - 3 mins 10 secs.

Fairly strictly judged so quite happy with those numbers.
