Can someone recommend me a good ISP in the Hutt Valley

Its been since six months I moved down to the Hutt from Auckland what I am noticing is that at where I live and I use Telecom Broadband,the internet speed is not great and at times I cannot access games after 9:00am and I have rang up Telecom and they told me to check the jackpoints,can someone recommend a good Internet service provider in the Wellington/Hutt area?

Dude did you even try the jackpoints?

When an ISP asks you to do the isolation test, it's a bloody good idea to actually do it! If you've got a faulty jackpoint, that could be the reason your connection is poo.

Could also be:

* faulty filter

* bung modem

* internal wiring

* bad cabling

And that's all stuff inside your house!

Speed etc also depends on how far you are from exchange etc. So difference in speeds between ISPs will be minimal (unless you manage to get onto a different network, which may be possible via TelstraClear).

I just spent some $ to get the phone jacks changed and I am limiting to the Thomson modem which is causing problems

I spent some $ getting all the phone jacks changed last September but I possibly believe its either the Thomson Modem
