new routine.

Recommended Posts

im trying to sort myself a routine, with certain criteria - want to be able to bench 2x week, upper back 2xweek, and with post. chain work 2xweek, and finally with 4xtrains/week. 5x5 are good but donnt really like the fit of them.

ive hashed up this, wondered if anyones done anything similar? its 2 upper/2lower, but not WS.

upper1

bench - 5 worksets, low rep (1-5)

bbpress - 4 sets 8-12rep

row - 5 sets 5-6 reps

biceps - 5 sets (varied)

upper2

bbpress 5 worksets low rep (1-5)

chest press 4 sets 10-12reps

row - 5 sets 10+ reps

tris - 5 sets (varied)

lower1

squats 5 worksets 1-5 reps

deadlift variation 4 sets 5-6 reps

unilateral leg ex 3 sets 10-12 reps

ab work

lower2

deads 5 sets 1-5 reps

squat variant 4 sets 10-12 repss

pos. chain ex 5 sets 8-10 reps

ab work.

approach would be to rotate exes fairly often, ala westside - but only once they stall. ie, main ex is bench, when bench stagnates change to decline/incline. same goes for delt compound, squat and dead.

this would also require dealoading when neccesary (obviously)

any thoughts?
