yeah tua owes maori TV 3 fights because when he wanted to come back they gave him a contract, he had to break that to get the Cameron fight and promised them 3 fights after the Cameron fight if they let him fight outside of their rights to televise him, so the fight will be televised free to air on Maori TV on the 31st.

The Captain Cook Tavern will be playing in the garden bar for all those in Dunedin, with the security, bar and management team fighting n an inflatable ring before hand for a bit of a laugh.

I reckon Tua will take it out, considering he only lost to Lennox Lewis on points and only had the use of one hand because he broke a rib or something before the fight in sparring cos his old coach was a bit of dick. Plus for he's cut right down and is sooo fit its ridiculous, he sparred for 2.5 hours non-stop without getting too tired, still had alot of his power at the end of it a couple o weeks before the Cameron fight and he is fitter for this fight.

I`ll watch it for what it is, but lets not get overly excited that any of these guys are really anywhere near the top 20 heavyweights in the world.

Their organisations will promote them as such but I dont think theres much talent on display here.

It's not often I disagree with you Gasp, but on this one you're wrong! :grin:

I said a similar thing before the Cameron fight, (along with taunting my Samoan training partner that he was betting with his heart not his head!), but David came out in shape and fought like the fighter he was pre-Lennox.

Tua went through a phase he got out of shape (and had some bad hair dues!) and traded on his name. He knows he cant do that now & has come out to show what a real talent he is. I watched some of his earlier fights recently & he was phenominal (John Ruiz - BOOM! :nod: ).

Anyway he may not be up to the Klitschko brothers just yet but a good win here tonight will put him well on the way. Let's not forget Tua is second only to Mike Tyson in first round knock outs - he hits hard as Israel Garcia states (rating as much harder than other pro's including Klitschko).

Tua inside 5 rounds. Friday's up for his first knock out.... :nod:

Good solid fight. Think Tua was getting a little tired towards the end, not so much grunt in his punches. Damn Friday was solid still. Would like to see them fight again. I think Tua lost out on the reach, just couldn't really get to him (just like his problem with L.Lewis). Hopefully he can find a strategic way around this disadvantage for the future.
