Tired as f*ck! :nod:

Anyway cardio am/pm continues, trained chest/tri's last night:

Inc DB's sets of 8 up to 57.5 which I only managed 6 on.. :?

Machine press - 4 sets of 12 heavyish

Flat flyes - light, 24's for sets of 10

Cable crossovers - 12 rep sets

Narrow Bench - 6-8's up to 110 - tri's pretty cut at this stage

HarryB Kickbacks :grin: - 3 sets

TPD's - 3 sets of 20 reps

Off to Tauranga/Mount this arvo - prob posing / cardio at Global Fitness after 6pm?

Good incline dumbbells there Nate you still have your strength I see!

He didn't share that with me and we did Triceps together :naughty: Harry what's going on?

Had some very good gains (I mean losses! :grin: ) over the last two weeks, but mos def paying the cost to be the bawse!

Absolutely fuct!!! Couldn't actually remember the name of my journal if thats any indication..... :pfft:

Strength is still okay-ish, only lost a few reps on 45kg dumbell press to shoulders, and easily repped 180kg smith machine squats for sets of 10 after pre-exhausting on extensions. Followed up with 360 leg press for easy 10's.

Sizewise I'm less sure? Definately leaner - been away 5 days and people freaking out at loss, but unsure how much is fat vs muscle. Too scared to jump on scales but picking 96ish or less?! :shock:

Still on track to make a call in less than two weeks as to whether I'm ready to get back on stage, but looking pretty likely at this point.

Losing size in a shirt is a good thing bro. You will be very depleted right now.

Once you fill back up you'll be pleasantly surprised I'm sure.

Going strong despite the tough week you had last week. Alot of fatloss is regulated by your stress levels so I hope you can find your stress release in the last 3 and a half weeks leading up to the comp, I guess thats what Lisa is for :shifty: :pfft:

By the way I know you are still working out your posing routine but can I please have my One Direction CD back. You said you were just going to copy it and give it back, I haven't even had a chance to listen to it yet...

Cruising alongwith the diet, still dropping every day. Not looking to change anything but add in 10 mins posing everyday after weights before pm cardio. Also doing all morning cardio on crosstrainer now.

Had a good posing session with Andrew Murray (NABBA HB rep). Was good to go through mandatories with someone else for a change, not so good that the someone was leaner tho!! :pfft: :grin: Awesome chest & small waist on Andrew for sure - good to see his results on the same weekend as the CHCH comp when he does NABBA Manawatu's.

He advises posing practise for any competitors is being held at Bay City Gym in Napier on Saturdays now. Might pop along and see how big Aaron Vaisigano is looking!

Spent an hour & a half on my routine - finally locked down after late change of music!! :grin:

How is your posing flexibility now that you are considerably leaner? Can you do your side triceps okay? Been getting regular massages?

LOL - I never wrote that above Hamish?! I said Andrew (the HB NABBA NZ rep) is doing the NABBA NZ Manawatu show the same weekend as the CHCH show!!!

I am either doing the CHCH show or doing tans at the CHCH show! :pfft: :grin:

That said I do intend doing one show from each major federation, (NABBA-WFF, NABBA NZ, NZIFBB), but only one Nationals being NABBA-WFF. :nod: That way I figure I can get a first hand look at all the federations in action and make my thoughts on each known accordingly! :grin:

On the flexibility front, I can now do a decent side tricep. Haven't done any real stretching / massage just lots of practice. Dropping sheer bulk (fat & a bit of muscle) definately helped!

Nah that sounds like a good honest plan. And yeah you're right, it's amazing the flexibility you can get when you lose a bit of weight! I'm not gomna pull any Kristian Bray style flips in my routine but I can definately do some poses I couldn't manage in the off season too :)

From what I saw as a spectator last year NABBA-WFF had the best competitors and my preferred format of show. However having not competed for some time I would like to experience each federation from a competitors viewpoint rather than a spectators.

My thoughts at this point are that unless NZIFBB go to a one show format I'm not likely to compete there regularly. AlsoI have no aspirations to try for a pro card and international amatuer opportunities seem limited except for a select few with minimal funding.

NABBA NZ, though they have run a one format show, my major issue preventing full support of this federation is the weak international ties they have compared to NABBA-WFF.

Time will tell....

good going Nate - I'd quit using the scales if its playn with your mind. I'd say at 97 your starting to look a bit freak now anyway ... wish I could get to double digits ... I told Steak I'd hit the 105s now I've drop sub 120kg and he said he'd have more chance of benching in a 32 ... not my fault I feel in the potion when I was a little boy :(

Thanks bro.

Going all out for a really tough week this week as I don't have my darling children here til Monday again.

AM - 30 minutes crosstrainer @ home, up a notch higher than I've done.

PM - Quads/abs/calves

Squats worked up to 6x180, 6x200, 6x200 - thought about the usual 5 plates as the first set was pretty easy but Beef's advice was sound! Second set a little tougher.

Narrow Squats - 8x140, 8x140

Leg Extension 21's - 21x100, 21x100, 21x100, 21x80, 21x80

Abs - 6 sets high reps

Calves 6 sets seated 25-30 rep sets

Posing - 10 minutes on mandatories & routine

30 mins crosstrainer on level 14...f*ck!!! Toughest yet....

All in all a very good day at the office, another 5 and time to make a call! :pray:

Yeah I'm hoping to get on stage (truly am!!). Have my routine down & all!!

Just have a thing in my head saying after a 12 year absence that I want to come back on my terms, which are really simple, that I'm in good enough condition to be competitive in a regional show.

Phil Kuklinski, Hamish Coulter, Kagan Orton, Richard Parnham etc have ensured that bar is set pretty high at the NABBA-WFF Christchurch Grand Prix!!! :nod: :clap:

Have a new training partner for the week starting tomorrow! Young Deeseenz is gonna help out and come throw some weights around (I might even convince him to do cardio!!!).

Inc Flyes - 8x30, 6x41, 6x41, 10x24

Bench - 8x100, 8x120, 8x100

Inc Close Grip - 8x80, 7x100, 6x100

Cable Xovers - 10x80, 10x80, 10x80, 12x70

Low Xovers - 12x50, 12x50

Rope TPD - 3sets

Dips - 3 sets

Posing 10 minutes

Cardio - 30 mins X-Trainer @ level 15!!! I'm adopting a powerlifting approach and hitting PR's on cardio!! :pfft: :grin:

Did it real hard yesterday - AM 30 mins X-trainer, PM 20 mins posing, 30 mins X-trainer @ level 15......just about killed me!! Walking dead type stuff here, seems so much easier after1.5 hours weights than it does after 20 minutes hard posing! WTF :shock: Anyone know why?

The other question I have is given my diet hasn't changed in 4 weeks (since I took trim milk out) and another 8 weeks before that (taking FF Creamed Rice out), why does the fat burning seem to ramp up so much now, and why do I feel so much more depleted and fucked? Is there a physiological reason??

Thoughts anyone?

Plan is - take Friday off work & head to Hamiltron. Train 5.00pm-ish @ Flex Fitness. Saturday hoping to train Biceps/Upper Chest at Flex Fitness and catch up with Soundsgood, Jake & Stacey.

Then head up to Aukilagi late Sat arvo. Will try and catch up with fatty on Sat night / Sun Morning - maybe do posing then, remembering its the day I make the call to compete or not in Chch.

Catch up sometime if your schedule allows?

D-Day arrived, had to make a call about Chch comp......thought about the feedback I'd got this week:

The boys at Aspyre said you gotta do it.

Trained with Hamish on Friday and he said do it (though I hid under my singlet).

Lisa got to see more of me on Saturday...LOL...and said do it.

Gary Jones said do it (tho I hid under sweatshirts!).

Went to Les Mills and posed with Reuben observing, he kindly got the biggest man in the gym to come watch, bringing Nelly over! (Just about put my sweatshirt back on and ran away!! :grin:) Reuben said it would be good if I had an extra two weeks but could probably do it, Nelly said I could make it in two weeks. Reubs then agreed and said just do it.

So that was at least 8 saying I should do the show.

Checked in with the Coach and he said just do it if you think you're ready, I said I would be good enough for a regional, but needed to be a lot leaner by Nationals. After a bit of discussion I have decided to get on stage! I doubt I'd ever feel 100% ready, and although it would've been nice to be in Nationals condition I guess that is what that Nationals are for! :grin:

Will treat it as a learning experience with the carb deplete / load & drying out to see how I react. Then fine tune for Nationals when I expect to be 2% or so leaner.

So in a word.....

IN!
