JACK3D

If 2 scoops gives me enough motivation to get my ass off the couch and head down to the gym on cold winter nights when i might have otherwise stayed put, then it's a muscle builder as far as i'm concerned

Sure Andy.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When a product is jacked with so much caffeine and no glutamine or glutamine peptide im sorry but you will be sacrificing muscle mass.

im sure jacked wouldnt be sacrafacing muscle mass if it was in extreme nutrition stores lil g?

its not gona sacrafice muscle mass if your diet is spot on and any product that stimulates your central nervous system and alows you to train harder and heavier will help you add muscle mass

As far as the bodybuilder goes, caffeine can often has positive, or rather desired effects that will please those who are looking to lose weight quickly. Caffeine raises energy levels and promotes different forms of mental and physical awareness. For many pre-contest athletes, many use what is called an ECA stack which consists of the following, ephedrine, aspirin, and caffeine. This combination is used to shed body fat fast. In fact almost all weight loss supplements employ at least some sort of caffeinated ingredient list.

The aforementioned results regarding weight loss seem very appealing but it is also important to know that there are also many negative side effects that come from both short term as well as long term use of caffeine during your workout routine. One of the side effects can include the feeling of being jittery and a general feeling of anxiety. Because caffeine acts as a stimulant, it has been proven that this stimulant actually constricts muscle growth. It does this by tightening the blood vessels. If something tightens the blood vessels then of course less blood will flow from the heart to the muscles. With less blood flowing from the heart to the muscles your body will not get it's needed amino acids as well as the protein it desperately needs to both during as well as after a tough workout. Another consideration is that if you are trying to gain mass, caffeine will work against you as it also acts as a mild appetite suppressant.

Grant knows his stuff.

Hi Optimass. i dont think that jacked will be restricted as the ingredient 1,3 dimethylamylamine is not listed in Medsafe's database for restricted medicines. The reason NO-Explode was banned is because it contained Vincamine which is a Prescription medicine only in NZ. Hopefully that is some clarity.

I cant agree with you more Titan90. Caffeine also has direct negative affect on gaining muscle aspecialy when used with creatine. So anyone who likes their caffeine please dont waste your hard earned money on creatine as you are almost garenteed not to see any results, unless youre a freak. and the same counts for some1 using creatine, dont drink too much coffie maybe just 1 cup a day and dont even bother caffeine pills.

The caffeine and creatine combo being a negative thing is a myth. Unfortunately this is a just a major misunderstanding that is regurgitated by misinformed nutritionists, and supplements companies that are trying to make creatine into something bad and wanting to sell you some form of esterified or buffered creatine.

Some of the early studies done on creatine monohydrate and humans that showed creatine to be effective had the subjects mixing their creatine in a cup of coffee as the hot coffee dissolved the creatine more effectively. These studies showed creatine worked, so caffeine doesn't have a magic ability to cancel out creatine's effects. The reason you might want to reduce your caffeine intake when on Creatine Mono is it's diuretic effect can reduce some of the cell volumising or water retention in the muscle that creatine mono is so effective for, however this water loss can be countered by simply drinking more water.

The thing you really want to avoid when on Creatine Mono is regular alcohol consumption, binge drinking, and party pill popping on the weekend as this has a far more pronounced effect on negating creatine's effects however for some reason the supps companies don't mention this.

If you use the stuff to get a better workout, it's not suddenly going to stop working because somebody thinks it's "for fat loss" instead of "for muscle building". It's a stimulant. Stimulants can have several purposes.
Hey Pman, the reason I consider the particular stimulant DMAA more useful for fatloss than muscle gain is that fact that it at the dosage used in Jacked it suppresses the appetite and increases the metabolic rate more than simply offering just a bit of a energy boost or mental focus.

The 60kg guys that I'm seeing that are already struggling to gain weight because they simply don't eat enough and yet seem to think a pretraining formula is going to answer all their prayers really don't need something that increases the metabolic rate and blunts their appetite.

I would say DMAA is going to start becoming restricted in NZ. It's already banned by WADA and if the party pill boys keep loading their pills up with it and keep causing hospital admissions because of overdoses on it then we are going to find it harder to get. They powers that be are already wanting to ban advertising anything with DMAA in it so Ripped Freak won't be able to advertise or sponsor events, and also stop it's sale in powdered form which may mean we lose jack3d and other DMAA based pretraining drink mixes.

heres my 2 cents about JACK3D.

i bought sum jack3d about a month ago after being off sp250 for a couple months. started with a single serve did nothing, second training day took 2 serves and got pins and needles in hands, arms, face then felt nothing at gym. third training day thought f%&k it and took the full 3 serve got pins and needles again and then felt nothing at gym. fourth training day i thought id have one more crack at it and got same result plus i got abit of shrinkage! in the man department. not happy! (only lasted about 2hrs after gym thankfully)

i do know it works for most people bit didnt do s%*t for me.

For those that jack3d works for how long did the buzz last? I'm usually at the gym at night and wanna be able to sleep a couple of hours after

Mine lasts a further 90 minutes after my workout has finished. I take it in the morning and that works fine. I'd be hesitant about taking it at night.

Take a Turbo. No problems, provides a good workout. Forget all the shit that goes along with these preworkout drinks.

IMHO I'd cycle turbos (or Jack3d / other DMAA products) with other pre-workout supplements, something simple like 3-4 weeks on then change. No point letting your body get too use to any stimulant and getting an increased tolerance (unsure of receptor details, there's probably a scientific study somewhere that could give better guidance on the appropriate cycling period?).

Be interested to see how many people are relying on DMAA (as peeps did with BZP) and cant train properly (in their heads at least) without it??

Agree with this too. You don't want to become reliant on pre workout supps, and get to the stage where you believe you can't train properly without them.

I do tend to vary the amount I take, and some days none at all. With all the bullshit out there it's bloody hard to choose one of the many "miracle" powders that I could cycle in.
