Which gym you going to again Vee?

I'm going to a no frills 24 hour one no mirrors or AC! LOL

That is true discipline when there are no mirrors to check yourself out...lol :lol:

5.30am training this morning...I dowloaded a medley of Rob Zombie songs onto my ipod last night...awesome to listen to again while training :nod:

Oh BTW the gym has a chocolate bar machine and a pepsi machine I have just discovered :shock: :-s

Cruel gym, taunting people like dat...or are they simply ensuring members keep renewing ?

Now, if they were FREE, maybe I'd move gyms :grin:

I'm not sure it seems a bit of a juxtoposition really! I'm gonna ask next time I see a worker person there!!

LOL! I hate ironing, in fact I don't iron anything apart from lifting the stuff in the gym :grin:

BTW I stopped using my cellmass I boated up gianormous and had to pee constantly!! :shock:

SLDL: 50kg x8, 55kg x8, 60kg x8

Leg Press: 50kg x8, 70kg x8, 70kg x8

Leg X: 20kg x8, 20kg x8, 20kg x8

Leg Curl: 15kg x8, 15kg x8, 15kg x8

Toe press: 50kg x15, 50kg x15, 50kg x15

Single Calf standing DB: BW+ 15lb 2x12

Seated calf: 10kg x10, 20kg x20, 20kg x10

Gym was packed this morning there were 5 other people there. :shock:

There was somebody curling in the squat rack grrrrrrr and with just the bar, so they could have easily just used a BB instead of hogging the only squat rack :roll:

My squats are slowly picking up I'm really concerned about form, my last PT freaked me out about what happens to your back with bad squat form so I'm paranoid about upping the weight too quickly and popping a disc!

Nice work Vee.... shame about the crowds, eh!

Maybe you should work on looking fierce - either that or ask politely. Even at Bodyworks, I suspect there are folks who don't know they're called squat racks at all, or that they're called squat racks 'cos that's where you squat :doh:

I can relate to the back issue... it'd be a shame to end up needing surgery, but I'd be fairly sure there are ancillary exercises that can help with strengthening the minor muscles of the lower back?

Just muscle in Vee! If someone is curling in the squat rack I don't care how big or mean looking they are, they will get asked, politely, to move. If they say they've almost finished or whatever, I say would you mind finishing over there... Don't let these mutants win god damnit! :pfft:

Oh I was finished in the squat rack and doing other things it just annoys me when people do that! Don't worry I learnt my lesson from last time it happened to me to just chuck them off I can do my bossy teacher routine!

Nope no back injuries ever, but I have been told if you don't keep the curve in your spine while squatting you will hurt your back.

Box squats are a great way to teach yourself 'proper' squatting technique because it's easy to sit back while pushing your knees out. Do you have boxes or steps at your gym Vee?
