A queue? At 6 am on a Saturday... clearly, your gym is hard-core!

Nice work on the skulls btw  Fried triceps for breakfast?

Yeh it's a bit random at the moment, there's nobody in during the week at stupid o clock then bam weekend hits and there's 5 people in there (which makes it crowded!) curling and huffing and puffing all over the show

Fried is the only way I like them!

Hey Vee

The Bbro in Nov Wellington 2010 at The House would be a good start what do you think miss?

keep training hard miss :salute:

VP

I think that sounds scary

I am totally new to all this I have only been PLing for a couple of months I don't have any specialised gear or anything eeeek!

I went to the central champs earlier this year and remember thinking "when I can lift x2 of what I do now then I could go in a comp" and I ain't lifting x2 of what I was then!

I had a mate of mind you wanted to hit 300kg on the deadlift before he entered his first comp, when he did that he wanted 340kg now before his first comp LOL well he never made it to a comp in the end :( waste of talent but a good friend with the strongest mindset I have seen on anyone to date.

as a novice you don't need any gear as such, the idea is to enter get a feel of it catch the bug and destroy very weight you touch to get bigger and better PB's.

What ever your plan miss i'll be watching with keen interest good luck.

LOL! Thanks VP, maybe I will see what happens, I can enter closer to the time huh? Good to know I don't need any specialised stuff. I just looked at the results from last year and I wouldn't look totally ridiculous on the platform with my lifts as they are now hmmmmmmmmmmmm definitely something to think about

My last Novice comp maybe see ya on the Platform

VP

Your last novice comp? What does that mean  ?

I will be there in one form or another either on the platform or next to it!

You get to do three Novice events before having to join up to see if you like it before spending money on gear which is pretty cool.

Once you have done three novice lifts you need to join up with international powerlifting federation (IPF) and also you need to join up with your powerlifting federation in your area that's who you will represent ie (auckland, central district's, waitato/ BOP etc),once you join up then you will need to use gear to be competitive in the game.

I will see you there then miss :salute:

Crikey - two kg, it's not like there was a lot of Vee to start with! (unlike some people ).. let's hope it's nothing serious. But yes, I think the diet/weight loss and performance were almost certainly related.

Your breakfast sounds so much nicer than oats-n-shake =P~

Totally agree with what VP said

If you enjoy PL and it looks as tho you do...you should give it a go. You are looking strong in your training Vee  For me it was not so much about numbers (mine were light) but more about form, being comfortable with the commands and getting those white lights. And once the nerves went it was fun. Just my 2c worth :shifty:
