Attempted a WG after that just to amuse the other gym goer errrr didn't happen at all I was left just dangling running in mid air :pfft:

 Sounds familiar!

So are you squatting 3 days a week now? If so, how are you finding it (other than knackering!)? I did squats on Tuesday, and if I was starting my 5x5 this week, it would be my light day today, so more squats. But the DOMS are so bad today that I look like an old lady when I go to sit down anywhere, never mind putting a weight on and squatting! Not as bad as yesterday, but I reckon I'd struggle to squat after only 48 hours rest. I'm going to do a pump class tomorrow so will see how I go squatting light weights after a 3 day rest. Be interested to hear your thoughts.

You'll adapt to squatting three days a week. Most people never try to "train legs" more than once a week, but your body's remarkably adaptive. Give it a couple weeks and it'll be second nature - but that's also why the light days are so important. Don't skimp on them.

I'm hopefully interviewing a guy in a week or two that has his weightlifters squat 6-7 days a week, sometimes twice a day. Three times a week is nothing

Sounds reasonable. I used to do 3-4 pump classes a week and adapted pretty quickly to doing the same thing that often, albeit with much lighter weights.

I like squatting 3 days a week, my legs are lacking IMO anyways and hell squats cure cancer so why not do them as much as possible.

It's help my squat tremendously it was an area I was stuck and now I've managed to get out of the hole. I squatting every other day x3 and light, med and heavy so it's not too taxing as squatting the same all 3 days.

I trained at Le sewer with Miss Rose this mornink :notworthy: my head is full of lots of info now must try and retain it! Thanks for all the info Rose!

Heavy day today, I haven't gone heavy for 2 weeks, managed to maintain on squat, go up on deads and down on bench- form is still wonky on bench and I need to work on this some more.

Squat:

25kg x5

30kg x5

35kg x5

40kg x5

45kg x5

Bench:

used wrong bar for first 3 sets, bar was 18kg  oops

20.5kg x5

23kg x5

28kg x5

then changed the bar to 20kg oly

35kg x5

35kg x5

did some practicing 30kg and 20kg to get form right

Deads:

35kg x5

40kg x5

45kg x5

50kg x5

60kg x5 Woot! B/W

My bad Miss, I forgot to swap them over for you. You're doing really well. It was cool to see the differences with all your lifts between now and when I first trained with you. Bench set up is hard but you'll get it, you're already doing great 8)

I hate that 18kg bar. Whenever chicken legs is using the 20kg one and I want it, I ask him to give it up. Strangely, he does.

Funnily enough no one ever noticed it until I weighed them both one day. Now everyone hates the 18kg bar.

If I had been left in ignorance I might have managed a PB, although not a real PB! Damn skinny bar! Maybe it needs to eat more beef?

It's just a slightly shorter bar. Sorry for robbing you of a PB Miss :shifty:

Hee hee that's OK it's got me wondering about the oly bars in my gym now I might weigh them, or maybe just ignore it? Do I really want to know? :pfft:

I'm gonna do some complimentary stuff between the days of my 5x5, nothing too taxing just some stuff that should help grip and strength etc.

Dips: BW 5x5 nice man at the gym complimented me on my dips this morning!

Decline bench crunches: 4x8 haven't done those for awhile ouchy!

Good mornings: 5x3 20kg 5x2 25kg

GHR: 2x5 on lat pulldown 30kg, 3x5 BW these are getting better....

Squat stretch practicing, practicing....

Are you going to do the same stuff on those days or different things Miss? I spose I view Good Mornings as taxing, and you did deadlifts yesterday. Something to think about?

Nope I'm going to do different things, yeh I just learnt GM are taxing after heavy dead day THE HARD WAY!! oops

There will be waiter walks and farmers walks and such exciting things like that! I just need to re-organise this again!

Surely he must train biceps occasionally - what else does a guy need? :pfft:

Yes they go off, but after like 2 years! That's how long they have been sitting there! I wouldn't mind a deeper voice, it might scare the students!
