Sometimes there's a definite difference between early mornink jim and evening and today was one of those days, did my workout this evenink and didn't even break a sweat, was quite easy, well I say easy weights were still heavy but I'm just not as knackered as usual.

Weightsicles:

Machine row: 18kg x8, 24kg x8, 24kg x8

Shoulder press: 12kg x8, 12kg x8, 12kg x8

Machine fly: 18kg x8, 18kg x8, 18kg x8

DB Curls: 7kg x8 then hammer style 5kg x8, 5kg x8

Reverse pressdown: 30lbx8, 30lb x8, 30lb x8

Superman: x1 each side

SB crunches: x10 x2

SB raise: x10 x2

Need to get back into stupid 'o clock in the mornink training, every morning my alarm goes off and I lie there denying the time until it's the last possible minute to get up for work grrrrrr must.try.harder.I.can.do.ittttt!

The awesome news is that it's dark again at stupid o clock Vee. This makes me very happy as there's less chance of seeing people  Mind you, most of them have probably given up early morning stuff by now anyway so it's safe to go out again at fathom hours without risk of bumping into last minute must get skinny for summer fags and new years resolutioners.

Good work Vee... maybe gravity's different in those Gucci gym hideaways

Morning workouts ftw... I'll be on my windtrainer listening to the 5.am. news - or more likely Mothership on the mp3...

Oh thanks TFB, well I was up at 5am this mornink good to hear somebody else is!!

Mmm as I was coming back from Le Gym this morinink I thought it would be great to go running at this un-godly hour and scape out Wellywood it's so peaceful with nobody about! loveit!

Only 2 other crazie people in the gym at 5am- great!!!

I was mainly listening to The Rabble this morning, they are quite cheery to lift weights to, I have been listening to NIN and Alice in Chains new album recently so you can see why The Rabble seem cheery in comparison :pfft:

DEADS: 50kg x8, 50kg x8, 60kg x6, 60kg x6

INCLINE DB PRESS: 7.5kg x8, 8kg x8, 5kg x8

MILITARY DB PRESS: 8kg x8, 7kg x8, 7kg x8

DB LAT RAISE: 4kgx8, 4kgx8, 3kg x8

REVERSE PRESSDOWN: 30lbx8, 45lbx8, 45lbx8

DB FLAT BENCH: 8kg x8, 8kg x8, 9kg x8

Nooooo - no-one should be able to say things like"Brooklyn Hill looks good" " it just ain't right!

But yes, the streets can be quite good fun in the mornings... compared to lunchtimes on the waterfront, where they just about need speed-lanes to separate the tortoises from the hares!

Yes ma'am  It's the only time you don't get fags trying to test their (lack of) driving skills hooning up Mt Vic. Actually it's funny, there's someone (something?) that goes up Mt Vic kicking/hitting peoples car wing mirrors off. They attack both sides (i.e. pavement and roadside). And NO it's not me :pfft: Good indicators re lack of driving skills, the fence barriers keep getting taken out by cars plunging down the banks. Suckers.

Oh, and not that you have a car Vee, but to anyone else reading this, never park your car up there at night. I always happen across a break-in, maybe 2-3 a week in the high season.

Hee! I think the 3 months off running has done me good and I can appreciate it again, I'm just a sicko really loving running at 5am

Hmmm it's like early morning runners always find the bodies verrrry suspicious!!

I was at work this afternoon thinking 'oh crap I have to go the gym too this evening' NO I don't I've already been this mornink, it was such a great feeling knowing my evening is all mine to do other things, I don't know what yet as I have no other life apart from work/gym/ errr yep that's it.

As a hater of running I'm thinking that sentence didn't even need 'at 5am'

Ah yes I see that any time would have the same effect! I hated running for 30 years so I understand, it took me about a year of consistently going out and making myself run till I liked it. I only did it to loose weight and to quit smoking and drinking which are pretty good reasons now I think about it!

Wot - 30 years... no, surely some mistake.... [subtracts 30 from first impression] Doesn't that add up to like a negative number smiley-confused002.gif

I used to loath running, on account of being huge... but because it's such an acceptable activity, took perverse pride in knocking off my first 10k "run with a number"

NO it's not a negative number TFB! And I will be ANOTHER year older in a couple of weeks! Although lots of brownie points to you for thinking I'm <29!!! Are you doing the round the bays thingy run?

I'm toying with the Round-the-Bays, but after a couple of fairly shocking cardio sessions I think I need to check that it'll still be daylight savings time... in case I don't get finished the 7.5km before darkness falls

I'll probly do it, if only 'cos it's a nice way to spend a morning and get a free banana!

Funnily enough, Obi Vee Kenobi, according to this information I just happened to have handy, it's a fortnight from Sunday.

It's a fun event, at least til the crowd things out and the pace picks up... then the pain sets in.... I spent at least half the last year's run keeping pace with some kid on a scooter, couldn't catch the little runt or I'd have mugged him for the wheels

Good for you... Being in dire need of cardio to peel away the flabular mass, I'm good to go... besides, the way I run (two lampposts, two lampposts, one and a half lampposts) it would count as Interval Training

Ha ha it'll be worth it for the banana at the end! Are you meeting up with Gym Rat on Monday?

Vee you can always walk it if you don't want to run - it's a lovely walk, nice and flat!

Are you meeting up with Gym Rat? I've gotta work til 6pm on Monday to make up for sneaking out early to go to the Sevens yesterday, but I want to try and stick my head in even if it's just quickly to say hi - but I can't find the right PM from GA saying which put it is! Can you remind me?

According to my info from GA, it's 6pm at Arizona Bar, by the Intercontinental Hotel, corner of Grey St and Featherston St, one block off Lambton Quay.

You can't miss it, it's got (unless someone stole it ) a big carved American Indian Chief outside.

And yes, my days can be that messy :-( but I'll be giving it a go!

Hallo Vee, how are you today?

oooo Hallo Miss Rosey! I'm just grand! How are you doing Missy?

I am well, thank you. What are you up to today? Some fine sunshine out there. I am contemplating how to get to the shops without melting. Do you think an umbrella is too eccentric? Oh, happy NZ day. Funny innit, how when there's no day off associated with it, Waitangi Day is but a minor blip on the radar. The 7's kinda overshadow it too though I suppose. Why the f*ck can't we have our national day observed as a holiday? It's rude! NZ has one of the lowest public holiday rates in the world
