Vees Ironing Vendetta

I'm slowly getting used to the new gym although still getting lost the weights are grouped on floors and don't make sense to me. I found more calf machinery today and stuff that looked like leg curl machines but with no plates or anywhere for weights to sit, I will have to do research on this!

New gyms can be so confusing! A friend has given me a month's freebie at Les Mills, but even though the Terrace gym is right next door to work, I'm not sure if I'll use it for anything other than Alistair's pump classes (highly recommended if you're at LM - I think he does classes at Taranaki St too), as I just can't be bothered trying to find stuff just for a trial when I've got no intention of switching gyms!

Hooray for being on holiday in the Wellington sun :)

See you stuck with the SLDLS - how do the hammies like them now that you've done a few days' worth ?

I don't go back to work 'til next week :jive: :dancing: - means nice long training sessions in the quiet hours :D

Yep I didn't realise how used to my other gym I was! I'm quite amazed at the trainers so far I saw a trainer getting a girl to do planks this mornink and her back was bent up like ^ it was terrible form I was quite surprised at that! Another girl was using her entire body swing to do lat pulldowns  SOOooo tempting to go over and help them!

Yep SLDLs are the bomb!! I dropped the weight slightly as to last week to get my form to remain OK. I have stepped back into the leg press great too even upped another +10kg on last week

I meant to do the crazy leg Extension sets you do but I conveniently forgot! :pfft:

Felt sick doing lunges so knew I was doing a good job of the leggies!

This is true except there is a 1:100 ratio in Aucks trainers to members so there are a couple of OK ones that aren't over weight and actually know what they is doing!

Yay for non-shinyland gyms! Le Sewer is an anti-gym  There are no PT's and I usually have the gym to myself which is mint! But it's not immune to one or two new years resolutioners. Bit of light entertainment but they'll be gone soon :pfft: I've never been to a Les Mills or ShittyFitness. I parked my motorcycle outside one once, waiting for a mate. I got glimpses of goings on :puke:

I am gladdened by the return of some ironing  Please keep it up Miss!

hoorah I look forward to no mirrors (it is the reason I won't go to hairdressers too!) and it's open 24 hours so I can go at 5am PLUS I get my olde training partner back as it's within his budget woohoo!

w0ot! \:D/ I'd rather visit the dentist than the hairdresser! Ummm, with the exception of root canals gone wrong! :? I thought I found the perfect hairdresser, she got it right a few times. Then last time I saw her it was like she was suffering amnesia or going senile (in her 30's!) and she fucked it up. You've got better odds at the murder house! :pfft:

I bitch about LM mainly cause it attracts...well, you know...and some of the komedy I see in there on the regular is worth the price of admission. Rarely do I set foot in there without seeing something to make me cringe or shake my head.

The actual equipment isn't bad, though. It could be better, but it doesn't entirely suck.

If I were in Wellington, I'd be at the dungeon without a second thought, though.

Totally, I used to have a fear of dentists but I have had more disturbing experiences at the hairdressers, my fear of dentists has been transferred onto hairdressers now. I hate being forced to stare into a mirror for what feels like hours and making small talk with somebody that couldn't care less about me and then having to pay them ridiculous amount of money to make me look terrible!

LM in Dorkland is fine and I quite enjoyed it there, LM here just sucks, IMO it's full of rude customers and the trainers haven't got a clue in fact one couldn't even tell me where the elusive squat rack was and questioned why I would want one then tried to convince me to just do cardio.

The idiot last week taking up THREE squat racks is just typical and nobody around to police it, if he were at LM in Dorkland he would have been chucked off two of them at the very least but the ever present 1000:1 ratio of trainers!
