I lost a ton of weight (~10kg all muscle basically) at the start of this year during a long layoff. I rejoined the gym around April but I have found it incredibly tough to get back into, I'm hoping this log will help motivate me a bit more.

Currently my work capacity blows balls. 2x5 squats would have me close to puking, I'm pretty sure a lot of it is mental, but it's so tough struggling with weights that you use to warmup with.

My current bw is around 57kgs :cry: , My goal is to hit 62 by the end of the year and get back to full squating 100x5.

you are to start off your day with a protein/carb breakfast and you will eat every 2-3 hours until you go to bed. you may gym in the day also.

These guys are spot on, no doubt you lack of energy in the gym is a direct result of lack of energy being put into your body, ie food! Cram that food in, lots of carbs and lots of protein, hell, lots of anything!!!!

Eat regularly like sponge has suggested, 57?, you can only go up from there mate, lets see some good progress in the following weeks okay.

well done for starting a journal here, from 57 you cant help but go up fast in the gains with a good solid eating regime and some training. I wouldnt worry too much about your training program at the gym at the moment just get in there 3-4 times a week for a all over body routine. fine tune that later.

Bumping ancient thread...

So after 5 years of battling drugs, depression, and the tertiary education system it is time again to lift some heavy ass weights.

Current stats:

170cm

62kgs

110 squat

145 deadlift

72.5 bench

Current goals are:

Bulk to 72kgs

squat 130kg, deadlift 170kg

Will try to update with a bit more diligence this time round.

Petey! Sorry to hear about your troubles the last few years, but it's good to see you back. You were our first real member - and you always remember your first! :lol:
