GVT training

I am looking at taking it on but I'm wanting to do a light pump set after it aswell just to caspitalise on the good old pump for example I'm looking at doing

3x4 Incline Dumbell Chest press

10x10 Flat Bench

1x30 Decline Bench Flyes

Would this be overtraining?

I might just have to start with doing GVT by itself then.

Failing GVT have a look at doing some FST.

I was actually tossing up between these two but opted for gvt because it seems a wee bit more intense but once I finish my GVT cycle I think that'l be my next stop

10x10x100kg I did this the other night to start my chest workout loved it but had alot more than 30sec rest if 30sec is a must then the weight being pushed would not be much at all Id imagine and as pman said 100 reps in that short space of time would give an amazing(unbearable :pfft: )pump!!

i have 60secs rest for upperbody and 90 secs for squats i done 10x10x140kg for squats and i was feeling sick for sets 8 to 10

oh bro are those atg squats if so thats solid effort we do em once every six odd weeks and use 120kg atg using the I go you go principle which is just disgusting to say the least lol

thats shoulder width leg stance till the hairs on my ass almost hit the floor.

i failed on my tenth set could only get 8 next time will try and get 10 then might try move up 5 kilos

your like me im always suspect when people say how much they lift especialy squat is the worst load up the bar then bend the knees 100mm up and down waste off time those are some pretty mean efforts too tongan terror

yeah I was just interested mate lol ive seen a dude at mine who walks and talks like the man is about 90kg walks up to squat rack loads 100kg first set(epic failure not warming)

moves about 300mm for 6 racks it, adds 80kgs(yes 80kgs)then moves the weight 300mm lol by now im crying in my pants when he walks past I say hey bro mean squat whats your max his response oh bout 240kg for 6 :shock: muah hahaha I just smile and think I love gyms :pfft: :pfft: :pfft:

done a few GVT sessions to break up my usual routine and they are brutal ><

I usually have to go find a mop and bucket to wipe up the sweat :grin:

Definitly a good way to shock the body.

FST seems pro as well, gotta try that :nod:

every gym has them :doh: i meant 100mm 100cm would be a pretty decent squat lol edited
