Elbow/forearm still iffy, went to the chinese medicine man and it hurt oh did it hurt (vely vely tight :pfft: ) had a bit of acupuncture too..weird

Feeling a bit better

Tonight:

Strength: Squat balance just used a broomstick cos not putting weight overhead at extension for a while

WOD

12 squat snatch @ 25kg (I substituted with front squat)

20 double unders

4 rounds for time = 6:50

Worked hard on technique/depth on front squats

back to medicine man tommorrow

looking at getting a massage regularly (weekly or fortnightly) to try and keep my muscles long and iron out the niggles, anyone do this? Does it make a difference to your performance do you think?

Subbed the Wod cos of my elbow

Strength was deads so did single leg deads with 12kg kb (really hard :shock: )

WOD

8 thrusters @ 25kg (I did 15kg)

2 Turkish Get ups/arm (I subbed with 8 GHD situps)

5 rounds for time can't remember what mine was, bout 8+ mins

Missed yest training got a dodgy tummy on sun and had the day off yest.

Today much better :)

Strength: Push Press 4x 3 reps final set 45kgs x 3 (prev PB 45kg x 1 \:D/ )with my dodgy elbow as well :grin:

nothing compared to the 2 chickks who play league for NZ who effortlessly popped up 62.5 kg x 3 :shock: but they are 2x my size so weight for strength ratio I gottem just sounds sad 45kg compared to 62.5 kg :evil:

WOD

15 push pres @ 25kg

15 situps

20 double unders

5 rounds for time = 7:55 (2nd fastest time for the day..beat the big girls on that one :pfft: )

Saw the chinese dr again today..getting better yay

Strength: Overhead squat (presumed to be the cause of my strife) managed 30kgs x 3 at good depth double yay

WOD

thruster @ 25kg 1 to 10 reps

toes to bar 10 to 1 rep

for time

(meaning 1 thruster:10 toes to bar; 2 thrusters:9 toes to bar......ending with 10 thrusters: 1 toes to bar)

Finished in 8:48 elbow all good....so far :grin: \:D/ :grin:

forearm velly tight after last night

Strength: Hang squat clean 3 x3 3 x 35kg (wrist that's where the pain is round the thumb joint when the elbows come through :evil: ) 1 x 45kg (well it was a hang clean/front squat but I'll take it!)

WOD

20 power snatch @ 30kg (pretty heavy)

35 press ups (I did mine flat down hand release)

50 kb swings @ 24kg (velly heavy)

for time

6:something happily surprised :pfft: :shock:

30m @ 15kg overhead plate lunge

20 pullups

4 rounds for time= 10 mins something

Today - Tabata stylez

5 sets/exercise 30 secs work 60 secs rest

score = total reps

(I think this is what I got for each exercise, round about)

sit ups = 87

box jumps = 138

push press= 83

burpees= 58

Total 365 reps (this was the right total just couldn't remember breakdown/exercise)

Started a new nutrition challenge yest, trying out the zone/primal eating

Level 1 means we can open a crossfit or just coach at our one

primal/zone is a bit lighter than paleo but trying to get equal block of carbs/fat/protein at each meal

Hmmmmm could be on the cards

The arm is still bothering me but its just a case of heaps of mobility work around the joint cos it's being caused by tightness in the forearm mostly so smashing it with a ball and stick seems to be helping.
