Thurs workout involved burpees ah no thanks! after 520

Tonight Crosfit total

3 attempts for 1RM of

Squat 50kg, 55kg, 60kg (Fail)

Shoulder Press 32.5 kg, 35 kg (Fail), 35kg (Fail) dammmmmmmmm

Deadlift 105kg, 110kg, 115kg (PB) \:D/

Total: 202.5kg

stoked with the deadlift but the others sucked, have done 60kg squat before and that 35kg shoulder press is eluding me everytime makes me soooooooo mad!!!!!

Same with the squat, plenty of folk on here can't squat their own bw.... and I'm sure the next go-around you'll nail that pesky shoulder press :nod:

Only 1 week til the 2011 sectionals round starts. New format 1 workout per week for 6 weeks that everyone in the world does and submits results for.

We are aiming to get a team to Oz (3 guys 3 girls) for the regionals in May and then if wes good enough qualify our team for the world crossfit games in August.

I'm feeling really average and a bit of a let down for our boys as they are firing and doing massive weights and fast fast times, I also think we will struggle to come up with three quality girls unfortunately..watch this space

Today

Strength: Dead 5,5,3,3,1,1 60, 75, 90, 100, 105, 110kgs

WOD

row 750m (rowing will def be in the qualifiers cos it's the only thing they can standardise unlike the 400m run as everyone has different tracks)

then 2 rounds of

20 toes to bars

30 pressups

40 air squats

for time

11:?? something

10 Power Clean (60/40)

20 Double under

7 rounds.

Strength: Back Squat 5 x 3 rep Was coaching my 12yr old daughter on these so didn't do any...tho I really need to

10 Shoulder to overhead (40/30)

6 Burpee

8 minutes, as many rounds as possible.

7 rounds....was really hard and heavy 4th = for the day

Friday - rest

Sat - Team workout at the park with 15kg slosh pipes and 20kg sandbags

Slosh pipes are meeeeeaaaaaannnnn. Long pvc drain pipes filled with water to 15kgs, so hard to get the balance great for the core!!!!!

Team of 4 had to run 1.5kgs with the pipe then 20mins of pairs thruster with pipe while other pair is throwing 20 kg sandbag over their heads.

Was a goodie

Two days til the Games Open kicks off...nervous much :shock: :shock:

So far there are 49 teams from Australasia who will fight it out for 30 places at the regionals and from there only the top 3 teams will go to the World Games

Last time took 25:48

this time 24:11 shaved over a minute off BOOM! \:D/

2 sleeps til the first competiton workout is announced...look out :shock: :pray:

All the crossfit world was hyped and waiting yest for the release of the first workout due 1pm our time, so many people looging in to find out what it would be it crashed the server :roll: and we had to wait til 8pm to find out .....

so instead of practicing the first wod I had to do the normal wod which was ok

7 push press @ 30kg

7 pull ups

7 kb swings @ 16kg

10 min AMRAP

9 rounds :grin:

First games WOD not up my street so much but will have a bit of practice beforehand

30 double unders

15 power snatch :shock: @ 25kgs

10 min AMRAP

Apparently one of the worlds top guys only managed 7 rounds of this :shock: :shock: :shock: so I'll be looking at 4 maybe and my power snatch isn't the most powerful so ?????

So...... Go hard, give it heaps :nod: We know you can smiley-happy088.gifPS I think I've got some folks ticked at me... I was talking to one of the PTs, mentioned the "Filthy Fifty", and he was going to put his clients through it.... If I disappear and don't come back... it was them wot dunnit :grin:

Things are looking up..technically it's 15 reps of ground to overhead anyhow..with power snatch being the most effieient method

so that means I can clean and press it which I am going to do \:D/ so now aiming for at least 6 rounds if I can get the skipping nailed without too many stops

Top girls so far doing over 8 rounds but most averaging around 6 ..will have my crack at it tommorrow morning if the doms in my traps have gone by then :shock:

Filthy fifty yep I'd kill you too if you put my PT onto it... :evil: :gunfire:

you better do it yourself so that you can sympathise with them after...when you regain the ability to walk and talk of course :pfft:

had another crack at it

got thru 5 rounds 30 double unders + 3 ground to overhead

40 reps more than yest

sitting in 58th place out of 282 for australasia :clap:

much happier but will have a crack at 6 rounds cos they had to extend the first week cos of their computer meltdowns

had another go at it today screwed the skipping again :doh: ..was on track for 6 but fatigue wrecked that idea..gave up with 2o odd secs to go when I knew i wasn't going to do any better than last time

slowly slipping out of the 20% and know it will only get worse as the deadline looms on Monday our time and everyone starts submitting their results for real :shock:

One more crack at it on Sunday night
