Crossfit Regionals in Sydney this weekend.

Mens NZ :Darren Ellis 4th, just missed the top three spot for the world's :cry: Think it was the same for him last year too. Good effort from NZ

NZ Women: Lauren Roberts 3rd - makes it to the World Games \:D/ :clap: \:D/ and Taz who represented Australasia last time came in 7th but I think she might get through in another comp???

Teams : Competition won by Crossfit AUCKLAND!!!!!! nice effort from CFAK - they get to go to the World's as well. Crossfit NZ came 6th.

Amazing stuff well done Kiwis!!!!!

Went back last night after 10 days or so off.....gulp

You'd think the rest would make me stronger but in those 10 days I think i stacked on about 2 kgs

Weighted pullups 10 kgs max...PB 15kgs x 1

WOD

7 deads

7 hang power clean

7 front squats

7 chest to overhead anyhow (I did split jerks)

10 mins AMRAP

same weight for all exercises - I used 30kgs which was rx weight

got thru 5 rounds + deads

and man was I dead after

Went last thurs with the boys...best training they've ever done!!!

So back into it properly...well it's day 1 so we'll see

Horizontal jump...last time bout 170cm today 190 cm !!!! white chicks can jump :pfft:

WOD= Angie

100 pull ups

100 pressups

100 sit ups

100 squats

to do it rx you have to do the 100 before moving onto the next exercise.....yeah right!!!! I did 10 sets of 10 reps of each exercise

did the same 10 x (10 x 4) last time and it took me 23:20 today it was just over 19 mins....yeah stoked! Specially after only 2 training sessions in the last two weeks and a heap of bad eating adding a coupla kilos to the mix.

Left to my own devices I'd still be stuck in the pull-ups, somewhere in the mid-late twenties rep-count :grin:

Wow just caught up on your journal...that's some wicked numbers there. No wonder you got DOMS.

Ah just getting back to the cheesecake...what kind?...cheesecake is my ultimate cheat meal =P~

Still as sore as buggery but went to train anyway

WOD - Grace

30 clean and jerk (rx m=60kg/w=45kg)

Last done a couple of months ago when I used 35kgs and it took me 6:00 minutes

Today I was still really sore, especially trying to get the weight over my head so I stuck with 35kgs but it only took me 4:20 so happy/sad :?

I tried 1 at 40 kgs at the end and I could have managed it just talked mysef out of it..never mind...next time

Back to it today really feeling stink about my lack of training. Checked the journal and I have only trained maybe 4 or 5 times this month...that used to be my weekly dose. I now what the issue is and am trying to get a handle on it!!!!

Today

Strength = Split jerk 4x5reps 15kg, 25kg, 35kg, 40 kg

WOD

7 Sumo deadlift high pulls (30 kgs)

7 pullups

7 burpee box jumps (50cms)

15 mins AMRAP

I got through 7 rounds + up to pullups in round 8

Did the first round in 1 min but it quickly went downhill from there..those boxjumps bit the big one and were really hard but finished!!!

Went with the boys today and while they did their team training i did tonights workout cos i can't get there.

WOD

run 400m

12 kb swings 16 kgs

15 pressups

4 rounds for time

I got through it in 12:11 but man it was tough tough going...I haven't run for so long :shock:

Trained with the hardcore Tuesday crew tonight. Seems everyone goes on Monday and then mostly all are too stuffed for Tues so it just leaves the hardcore crew...me I just bail Mondays (good kids sports and music excuses and all) and pretend to be hardcore on Tuesday :pfft: :oops:

Only girl to represent it tonite 8)

Strength: Shoulder Press 5x 3 reps 15kg, 25kg, 30 kgs, 35 fail, 30kgs

WOD

kettlebell swings 16kg

pullups

21reps, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, 3 reps (85 reps of each in total)

Did it rx in 11:58 came last but still happy.

The forearms are poked :shock:

Tonight

Strength: Overhead squats 4x3 reps 15kgs, 25kgs, 30kgs, 25 kgs

Getting good depth on these now FINALLY!

WOD

15 push press (rx= 35kgs i did 30kgs)

12 situps

20 double unders

5 rounds for time - took me a tad over 13 mins soso

Oh man this morning was hard to motivate myself for and then i looked on site and saw what was in store and was sooooo close to pulling the pin and heading back to bed...but

WOD Daniel...last done at the beginning of March in a time of 23:23

50 pullups

run 400m

21 thrusters (rx=30 i did 25kgs)

run 800m

21 thrusters

run 400m

50 pullups

Took me 23:30 - 7 secs slower.

My thrusters have improved markedly shame my fitness is so bad and my running sucked :shock: as well as losing my mojo on the kips so the pullups are taking me a lot longer

Serves me right for being so slack lately :doh:

Nessie im impressed that you can do 100 pullups!! Wow girl, thats amazing. I think the chinups i've ever done is like 15, haven't even attempted pullups... too chicken lol
