Last night I went out to dinner at Degree to celebrate the end of exams. I get a bit worried when dieting & going to restaurants. I had pan fried salmon & ordered dressing on the side but they still put heaps of oil on the veges, I tried to avoid it the best I could! The salmon was yummy though. Next time a stonegrill might be a safer option :)

12/11/09

1. 1/3C Oats, 1/3C berries, 1tpn nuts& seeds, 4 egg whites

2. 1/2 scoop protein, 1t nut butter, 50g kumara

3. 1/2 scoop protein, 1t nut butter, 50g kumara

4. 5 pieces sushi

5. 1/2 scoop protein, 1t nut butter, 1/2 apple

6. 100ml natural yogurt, 1t nut butter, 1/2 apple

7. Salmon, vegetables, olive oil

8. 1 apple

Sleep: 7hrs

Exercise: 5mins rower, 15mins elliptical, 10mins bunnyhops & burpies

Sleep: 5-6hrs

Exercise: full body weights

Friday morning I went a bit off track after having a short sleep & a hard workout I was extremely low on energy, but managed to get back on track after a filling meal.

It just showed me how important sleep is for staying on track!!

3. 1/2 scoop protein, 1t nut butter, 50g kumara

4. 5 pieces sushi

6. 1/2 scoop protein, 1t nut butter, 1/2 orange

7. Chicken, vegetables, olive oil

8. 1 orange

Sleep: 6+1hrs

Exercise: 30mins elliptical fast pace

I know i'm abit late on the uptake but good on ya for starting the journal :grin: And congrats on summer freedom and survivng the exam onslaught!! \:D/ Aint no easy task. 8)

I find it terribly hard to keep dieting during exams, it's the most stressful time of year and all I want to do is eat chocolate & carbs!

:nod: Know that feeling. Chocolate makes the stress and deadlines all better... :?

Thanks girl! Keeping a journal has definitely improved my training & diet so far which is awesome.

I find it terribly hard to keep dieting during exams, it's the most stressful time of year and all I want to do is eat chocolate & carbs!

Your breakie looks yummy :) what type of berries are you eating..blueberries? and you are so right about the importance of sleep :nod: I feel like I just don't get enough at the mo :?

Your pre stats are pretty much the same as mine when I started my lets get in shape for summer/rehabing my knee! yay!!

I just got a new bikini for summer so hopefully it will look amazing one by xmas!! :grin:

How are you goin weight wise/measurements now?? awesme i bet...

Heya, yeah it's really yum! I always get frozen mixed berries & heat them up with my oats in the microwave, so just blueberries, blackberries, raspberries & sometimes I get a mix with stawberries, mmmm. :D

Oh that's no good what's preventing you from sleeping enough at the moment?

4. 150g boiled chicken, rice & green beans

5. 1/2 scoop protein, 1t nut butter, 1/2 orange

6. 1/2 scoop protein, 1t nut butter, 1/2 orange

7. 180g Chicken, green beans, baby carrots, silverbeet, olive oil

8. Banana & berry mix

Sleep: 7hrs

Exercise: 30mins elliptical - hard

I've been so busy this week & haven't had a chance to write in my journal until now! Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday I was low on motivation but I picked myself up on Thursday by making a calender with a countdown to Christmas (it's almost here!) & also to a competition early next year. Here are the last two days of my training:

20/11/09

Well after a poor start to the week & picking up half way through I'm down to 70.9kg - 200g less than last Monday. Not a huge drop, girth measurements are about the same, but I'm happy with even a small loss this week. & I went from Auckland to Whangamata to Hamilton & back to Auckland within 3 days and managed to stick to my diet too \:D/

22/11/09

7. Chicken salad from the Hamilton Casino (the chicken was yuck!)

Exercise: Skurfing :grin: ... pretty much the most enjoyable form of exercise & boy am I sore today!!
