Squats: Coach wanted some more suited work done tonight so we slightly tweaked the perscribe %s etc, and good thing we did because we got 2 PBs tonight. Again, the weight felt light on the set up for 200 deep and very little pop from the 52 cent outta the hole. 205 was good leading into and coming out of the hole till i got half way up and was abit of a grind but fought it up in the end!....Very pleased with tonights progress

took some vid aswell ill post it up tonight if i get time.

Off now to purchase a 52 cent :D

Chur bro.its likely i will...But for now im just getting used to the gear only getting into it maybe once a week sorta thing, my raw numbers will still go up from le squats as the suit ive got now provides little to no pop and will need constant hot washes to shrink it in, its had Wookies and steak it in soo its well tried :grin:

Nursing a very sore left bicep tendon atm and the benching really didnt help it at all :roll: kept the arms warm tonight thou with the arm sleeves and added ice packs to it tonight, RICE treatment on cards tonight

Bench: Stripped my setup now and have made some big changes, the big thing is foot placement i tend to have the feet almost completely horizontal, will be moving them in to try and generate more leg drive.

hand placement, needs to get used to max grip, no matter what and when leading the bar out need to forcus on settling it in the "sweet spot" and keeping tightness, another thing is breathing too, need to transfer all that air into the Diafram from instead of just in my head/throat..air in diafram= Bigger chest which = lesser RoM , i think partly why i had uneven extention aswell was the tender bicep too

Deadlifts- Pretty hard out i got fatigued really quick in the sets leadin up to 200, the last set i did was pretty Fugly aswell, jack hammer styles. I couldve gotten a PB for an extra set i still had 2 mins remainin but mewh i was gassed

Nice work brah! that squat is finally getting there and with the tech issues on bench that should get back up to the level your capable of.

I think it will be best for you to ditch the boards when working in the f6 (my old shirt) its already been grooved so the need for boards is redundant. You dont do shirted board presses in comp so doing them in training makes no sense as the grooves are slightley different.

Instead of loading up the weight to touch do triples holding your breath for the entire set focusing on touching with the lightest weight possible. I could get 120 to touch even jacked.

Then do lots of 2/3/4 board benches and rack lockouts to build the lockout and everything should come together on comp day. Ill fax you my shirted template brah to have a looksies.

Being that this is BJs 1st real go in a shirt that is pretty tight making it a completely new and bruising :grin: experience I have kept the boards going for the 1st few sessions to get him used to the shirt (being that its stronger than him) and to help him feel the groove as the boards/bar gets lower/heavier. Im also cautious that we keep the risk of injury down by taking a gently gently approach and thus avoiding those delightful moments where the bar likes to skid off into your throat or off to your guts.

I am enjoying this approach alot better than we did it last year when we went for straight touches right off the bat. IMO the board work helps in many ways for me, Ie when to trigger the leg drive throughtout the transitions from a 3 board to a 1 board then going for the touch and where i need to drop into the bar path, still i have a FUCKLOAD to learn about the shirt and i think afew more seshs with boards (and a better left python) will help. you should see the 160x1 in no time flat, work in progress

Bench: starting to get the consistancy up with the setup here. having to rethink my setup for the crappy leverages i have for the bench hasnt been the easy to adjust but i think once i nail down these little things and iron out the bugs we should see progress, well thats what im hoping for anyway

got some awsome intell from Bar-belle who attended the Getstrength seminar. to do with Deadlifing oh/uh grip aswell with the bench tech aswell
