SIR! :salute:

Hawkes bay strongest man

Finally back in auckland tonight after a pretty epic easter weekend in sunny hawkes bay and a weeks training in the mount after the comp

i wont go into too much detail as far as the events etc went. as i think nate and Drizz did an awsome write up. but placed 7-8th overall and placed 3rd in the super heavies.

Very pleased with my results as it was my 1st time competing in a strongman comp. the only thing i really got stapled on was the overhead medley. Apollon bar got the better of me  (unfortunately sheiko doesnt put much emphasis on shoulder work  ) but none the less awsome day!! meet some of the boys from PH, trapfat/tutua/sarge/drizz and afew others and catching up with nate and wookie again

Huge ups to nate/steve/phil for a smooth run comp and to nate for putting us up in his meke beach house (Jenga by candle light! and kava that tasted like sterilized teatowel!) :pfft: :pfft: and to lisa for the detour road trip! chur chur! :pfft: cheers mate!

also another mention. jess(MG) who had a blinder of a day with the highland games even did better than some of the lads imo  placeing 1st

sweat pouring out this arvo in the cage, like how im working to the clock with these self imposed time limits!

Ive decided to give wide stance squats a shot and try and hope to gain some decent strength in my hip/glute area. Ive also brought back in the box i figured its time to get back to squatting basics and work the groove again.

My set up was alittle off with the squats today, seem to get better in the top sets thou

Deads felt piss light tonight. i was snapping them up with a crisp lockout was feeling real good, until the last set. when i got interrupted by one of the trainers at my gym to "please bring the weights down slowly" i was acutally speechless..almost felt like say well mate if u want me to do that...pull 235x2 and put the weight down gently and ill follow suite..

other than that the traingin session was intense and feel great afterwards yet hammerd

:-s that's madness.

You might have to go join Dales new gym...I'm sure you'd be able to ditch weights, use chalk and grunt too if you want  And I think it's 24/7.
