I think that could be a PB on the OHP, although there was a bit of leg to get the first rep going, and a lot of back arching in the last rep. But it made it up and then back down safely :pfft:

Got wicked bad lower back pain tonight, and a weird kinda pain in my right glute. It's happened before though, and it went away by itself, so I'm not too worried.

Might sit on that weight for a bit on Rows, form was attrocious by the end of it. Each rep started just above parallel, but ended somewhere around 45 degrees.

Hypers felt heaps better, I think last time the problem was due to body position. I was further back today, so using more back arch rather than bending at the waist, if that makes sense (it does to me, so meh).

Cardio tomorrow, woohoo (*who said that?*) :shock:

Decided to try some single deads after the sets, aiming to try for a new best as often as possible. So had a crack at 160, which I've done before, but couldn't even get it off the floor, second attempt made it about an inch and that was it. Felt like I should've been able to get it, ie didn't feel like a lack of strength, I suspect it's more to do with technique, or lack of.

Actually, I stacked on a bit during that nutrition study I was in, and am working on taking that back off. So I'm not sure that pics are a good idea yet. I might take some, and if there's nothing tooooo embarrassing...we'll see.

loss of strength on deads etc (all round) was the worst part of keto, though maybe i wasnt doing it optimally. but came back pretty quick.

Generally I don't think strength has suffered too much as a result of diet. But then, I could be wrong. Guess if I suddenly take off once I come off keto, we'll know I'm wrong :lol:

you should throw in the odd high cal keto day, just to experiment?

No trainy-trainy today. Kids :pfft: .

Today's eats were brought to you by the letters O and M, and by the number G.

Carb day was elevated to the status of carb-fest. It kicked off with a nice big bowl of oats, sultanas and whole milk, and didn't stop. Since then, I've been eating almost constantly, whole grain toast with banana, fruit, fruit, fruit, Hoki & herbed potatoes, creamed rice, spicy fruit muffin splits ( :grin: ). And I've been wandering around all day, feeling like I'm stoned...light-headed like there's a real buzz going on.

So not only have I OD'd on carbs, but I've gone well over maintenance for a non-training day. Safe to say the glycogen tanks will be well topped up for tomorrow. :lol:

Oh, and I'll be rounding out the night with a bag of M&M crispies and a movie. Gotta be done :P
