Quick results from my lifting today at the Eastside Open Raw Competition.

Weighed in at 103.3kg. A little light.

Squat- 285 kg

Bench- 200 kg :D

Deadlift- 285 kg

TOTAL- 770 kg

Had a good day going 6 out 8 attempts. Really pleased to get that 200 bench.

Will post some videos very soon. :)

Congrats Dr Squat on winning the Eastside - Bledisbro Challenge. Strangely enough my last deadlift would have put our totals equals even though I did not know what you had lifted at the time.

Tavita Lipine is keen for a 3 way raw challenge next year - I think PT will be up for it too.

Simon it would be great to have an ultimate raw challenge next year. Open to all comers, no weight classes or handicaps, highest total wins?

sounds good Craig, I'll be in. Raw lifting around the world seems to be exploding in popularity at the moment and the ipf are even discussing the possibility of a raw worlds, so we need to make it happen in NZ too. Other ideas could also be a national postal raw championships leading to eventually a same location national comp.

Are you going to lift equipped next year or stay with raw?

Simon, I'm starting to get the bug back. I will lift raw at the Canterburys and see from there. It would be a good battle between yourself, Steve Varga and myself with equipment or raw. My first priority is to try and fill out to a full 110 kg.

If raw lifting takes off then that would be my preference. What are your plans mate?

No training for the next few days I feel. I have CNS ROOTAGE. I really enjoyed having the lure of a competition.

I will use the next few days to set some goals for the next few months and beyond. I have a few things in mind in terms of body composition, bodyweight and competitions. I think that raw powerlifting suits me in the meantime. It's a way for me to continue to get big and strong without all of the hassles of the equipment.
