Hey "Doc" great work there, more importantly I am really looking forward to you bringing out those abbs in 12 weeks. You must have a well developed core from all that heavy lifting you do. Can't wait bro!

whats with the Elbow wraps? Are they inzer elbow sleeves - any carry over there?

Hey Simbo. They are inzer elbow sleeves. I wear them to prevent/manage tendonitis in my elbows. They give you a little bit off the chest I suspect but not huge IMO. There will be some carry over but I think its minimal. I don't crank them right up.

My secrets are out! I have separate ones for my legs. Same principle and reason. It comes down to looking after the joints for me. I want to be lifting heavy weights until I die so I try to be a bit more sensible than when I was your age. No doubt there will be a PT online who can cite some research which shows me as being an air head who knows nothing. That's okay with me.

Hey bro. They were $55 US plus shipping. Best thing I ever purchased next to my new rice cooker. I will dig up the link for you.

I would practice your form with baby weights in your basement or something. Do curls with the 5 lb free weights until it hurts (should be able to do like 100...). This will help your form. Do tons of reps with small weights until you get used to it, then move up to bigger weights that actually work your major muscle groups. Shouldn't have a problem then.

This proven method will only work if you wear tights. It's sooo intense, takes your body 7 days to recover! Results: amazing LEAN MASS and strength. And NO muscle pain afterwards, no joint pain, etc.

Let me assure you that I'm qualified to give you advice. I've been in this industry over 100 years, 97 of those as a qualified PT. 99% of the knowledge I have amassed is through research I have done myself. Both from reading and researching the material then applying to different clients to see how it works in the real world. I know what works. I CAN help YOU with your LEAN MASS goals

Wednesday 4 November- Back

Hot day here today. Training in the heat is not that bad at Eastside as we have a very sophisticated air conditioning system (roller door). Good training with some good intensity and heavy weight. Starting to get better at contracting my lats. Great pump today.

Front lat pulldowns- 160x10x2, 200x10x2, 240x8x2, 285x6x2, 240x10

Bent over BB rows- 60x10, 100x8x2, 120x8x2, 80x8(with a pause) then 6 full reps

Cable rows- Stackx8, stack+2 chainsx8, stack+4 chainsx8, stack+6 chainsx8, stack+2 chainsx10

Lat pulldowns behind neck- 120x10, 140x10, 160x10, 180x8

Legs tomorrow. High bar squat. Time to get serious.

Dr Squat are you using the knee sleeves in the Eastside Challenge / Bledisbro / Raw Challenge etc. I understand for the Eastside Raw challenge knee sleeves are allowed, although I'm not sure if this includes inzer knee sleeves. Reason I'm asking is that I contemplating doing the comp wearing the inzer knee sleeves for the powerhouse open raw. In their current conditions I don't see them as offering more significant support than the normal elastic knee sleeves and I don't want to purchase elastic knees sleeves to be used once. I understand some in the USA though would buy a knee sleeve 4 sizes too smaller, that would take 5 minutes to get on and would give significant carry over.

Hey bro. Inzer knee wraps don't fall into the raw category. Although the rules will allow for knee sleeves but this will exclude the Inzers which can be fastened. Knee sleeves that can be worn in olympic lifting will be allowed in the Eastside competition.

As I have said before I really do dream of a truely raw federation with no supportive equipment.

Thursday 5 November 2009- Quads

Short sharp session today. Trying to get my high bar squat sorted. To be honest I am a bit under done here. Leg pressing has been great for bringing my quads up and that was the goal. But my lack of high bar squatting is showing. Time to go back to school soon. Get the raw comp out of the way first.

High bar squats- 60x8x2, 100x8, 140x5, 180x5, 220x5

Weight okay but just doesn't feel smooth. Not complaining, just thinking about how I need to do lots of perfect reps to get it sorted. :)

Leg press supersetted with leg extensions- 5x15 reps

Not heavy. The weight varied. Around 320kg on leg press.

We played around at the end and did a few farmers walk. These are super hard after legs!

Leave the strongman equipment to the real men dr, you looked like a duck with a dildo up its ass with those farmers...

Mate my poise and speed even surprised me. :pfft:

Was it one of those tree-hugger wind-up dildos? If so, how do you rate them? I hear that they hold unused juice, so you can save it for next time. Up to 30 mins? Perhaps your farmers walks didn't last that long hey :pfft:

All over in 20 seconds Rosie. But I did do multiple walks. Kept going and going like the energizer bunny...
