Week #57 - 26/10

Monday - 26/10

Hamstrings/Lower back with Craig - ESB 5:00pm

Squats (low bar, med stance) 3x60x8 3x100x6 2x140x6 2x180x3 220x2 PB

Conv. deadlifts 2x70x6 120x6 170x3 220x3 280x1

Glute ham raise x12,12,9,7

Lying leg curl 20x10 2x30x8 2x20x15

Reverse hyper 40x10 60x10 2x80x10

**Squats felt weird doing them powerlifting style again, didn't feel too heavy though. I think I will be able to work up 240x2-3 with a few weeks of these. Deadlifts felt bad today, slow off the floor but I put that down to quads being sore. Could have ground out another rep but didn't feel like it. Deads aren't feeling as good as I'd like at the moment, but I'm sure a nice deload before the comp will sort that out. At the moment a fairly conservative target for the meet would look to be 720 raw. Original goal was 750 but not too bad as that was planned to be at a full 125kgs bodyweight. Things change, I expect to be around 115-116 by then.

Tuesday - 27/10

Chest with Craig - Eastside Barbell 5:00pm

Incline bench press 2x60x10 2x80x8 100x6 110x5 95x8,6 2x80x10

Bench press 60x10 4x100x10 (trying different grips)

Incline chest press 40x12 80x12 3x100x20

Flat dumbbell fly 15x12 20x12 25x8

**Incline felt out of groove today but still strong. When I hit it right there'll be a PB there, think that equals PB today but I have done 120x3. Bench press still feels very sluggish, no shoulder pain but it was only 100.

**Was up late last night and got very little sleep. Going back to the gym tonight to do quads, very tired though.

**Been busy and a bit slack on the journal...

**Squats felt good today, 230 this week felt easier than 220 last week. Sumo deads were a rude awakening for my hips/glutes.

**Stuffed up my first set of incline, took an uneven grip and missed chance to PB. Wanted 6 of those. Will probably start on flat next week as well so it'll have to sit in the tank for a while until we do inclines first again.

I always forget the names of the journals I follow, so the strength/powerlifting sub forum was a blessing, 80% of the journals I follow are in the same place, hard finding the other ones I like amongst the rest of the journals :P

**Big pb on the pulldowns, back feels like it's getting bigger and stronger. Had my last exam today, so decided to stay up late and watch a movie, because I have nothing I have to do tomorrow :D Aside from eat and train :grin:
